Former Conservative MP Louise Mensch has faced widespread ridicule after accusing Jeremy Corbyn supporters of anti-Semitism - over Twitter searches that turned out be her own.

Ms Mensch posted a series of screenshots showing what she said were autocompleted twitter searches alongside the name of Mr Corbyn’s fellow Labour leadership contender, Liz Kendall.

The supposedly autocompleted phrases alongside the @lizforleader handle included “nazi” and “Zionist”, which Mensch implied was the work to Corbyn’s supporters

However, twitter users were quick to point out that Twitter doesn’t quite work that way and that, in fact, Mensch must have searched the phrases herself.

Mensch later admitted it was her own search history, but continued to post offensive tweets from apparent Corbyn supporters alongside phrases such as #AntisemitesForCorbyn and #MisogynistsForCorbyn.

Citizens United helped lead to the huge wave of Koch Bros. money that swept through various states, turning many state legislatures red from 2010-2016. If the Democrats help confirm Gorsusch, they'll be digging their own grave.

As the hearings showed this morning, it certainly appears likely there was some treasonous collusion going on. Having something stolen is not quite the same thing as losing it.

Just goes to show how truly ****ed both the electoral college and Republican gerrymandering are.

She's an incredibly stupid opportunist who most notably has owned herself by thinking Charlie Hebdo was a person who was killed, who thought Twitter's search box worked like Google and so posted a screenshot of her own searches as proof Corbyn supporters are anti-semites, who thought Vladimir Putin killed Andrew Breitbart, and, most incredibly,

She's not a fake journalist or any sort of journalist, she's some sort of weaponized idiot who inexplicably was given NYT column inches to ramble incoherently about Russia and Brazile didn't read past the ****ing headline.

She's actually going to be on Maher this week, continuing a run of absurd guests he's had lately which has included Lahren and Milo

it is actually a Lifetime achievement award but the Hill wants their clicks

i think running a clinton for anything ever again would be a disaster but pretty sure there were some of the leaked EMAILS that showed chelsea in a pretty good light and i can't recall anything she really did that was wrong other than being born privileged

Whats everyone's opinion on Al Franken 2020?

Only if he campaigns in character as Stuart Smalley.

Not a fan of his oratory ability. He's not at all polished and occasionally comes off as awkward. When interviewed as a talking head he stumbles and blathers way too much. I don't think he'd manage to get through debates in great shape or give speeches that fire anyone up.

Also, the fact that he was on SNL a million years ago will be of no relevance to people under 30, which is the demo that D's need to energize enough to ensure they get off their ass and go vote.

Democrats weigh deal to let Gorsuch through
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/0...e-court-236384
Quote:
A group of Senate Democrats is beginning to explore trying to extract concessions from Republicans in return for allowing Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch to be confirmed, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

The lawmakers worry that Gorsuch could be confirmed whether Democrats try to block him or not — and Democrats would be left with nothing to show for it. That would be a bitter pill after the GOP blocked Merrick Garland for nearly a year.

The deal Democrats would be most likely to pursue, the sources said, would be to allow confirmation of Gorsuch in exchange for a commitment from Republicans not to kill the filibuster for a subsequent vacancy during President Donald Trump’s term. The next high court opening could alter the balance of the court, and some Democrats privately argue that fight will be far more consequential than the current one.

If Democrats move ahead with the plan — it’s still in the early discussion phase — it would require buy-in from some Republicans, but not necessarily Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) or his top deputies. At least three rank-and-file GOP members would have to pledge not to vote to unilaterally change the Senate rules through a majority-only vote later in Trump’s term — the so-called nuclear option.

What a bunch of bull****
03-22-2017 , 11:18 PM
Maybe the Democrats should consider a deal where one Republican in the Senate, or at least the House, gets sacrificed in exchange for confirmation.

Lol. This is the case for nuclear option. You don't get to bargain something you can't stop. Resist is getting boring.
