I'm sure there is a non-0% chance that your statement is true. Would it matter if the obese parent is getting food for their child who is obese or otherwise? Should many poor fat kids be put on the survivor island diet?
I find it quite shameful that we spend enough on bombs and 'freeing people from themselves' to buy 124MM people 3 $5 value meals everyday ($683.7 billion/365/3/$5).
I'm not saying we should be all things to all people, but don't you think we have enough money to make sure children go to sleep with a full belly? It is only saving ourselves money later down the road, especially with the amount of money that we spend on prisons.
If your point is that the OP/Title is a strawman, then I would agree. If your point is that we spend too much on SNAP and similar programs, I think you are dead wrong.
