The police chief called it a "pistol" but said he couldn't specify.

edit: also said they didn't find a "long gun" and don't have any indication other than witness reports that he used one.

Guessing an islamist is the perpetrator when someone starts killing civilians indiscriminately in Western Europe is about as racist as guessing the 2016 Olympic 100m gold medal will be won by a black guy.

The bottom line is though that nobody needs to forcibly connect a particular mass shooting to islamism, because islamism is a recognized menace bringing suffering daily all over the world and it needs to be stopped. And if you think that discussing facts is 'Islam-bashing', it really only shows how weak and stupid your position is.
