It's funny watching these guys who benefitted from Russian hacking trying to pretend they're super worried about Russian hacking. So transparent.

McCain pushing for cyber martial law.

It's terrifying. That's the smoke screen they're going to use as Russian influence continues to cut our democracy up piece by piece.

McCain: Pressident Sessions, do you recall FBI leader Trump asking Comey if you recused then director Trump from eating CLINTONS marmalade?

That McCain/Sessions exchange was like right out of an SNL skit. Two old old senile guys talking right past each other.

AG Sessions praised Comey's handling of Clinton email investigation during the 2016 election

No Dem felt like correcting the Rs AND Sessions lying about the reason for recusal? They all kept saying he was recused from Russia. He's recused from the entire 2016 election, including Hillary's campaign and emails. Their fake narrative says Russia, but they've been using that to allow the Clinton excuse. Sessions knows it. GOP knows it. Nice how they all got away with it though.

When he brought up Dana Buente, they should have followed through on Preet Bharara's firing and the circumstances from Sessions' perspective. He's guilty there in a bunch of ways.

Agree that his memory was like a goldfish for avoiding perjury, but he nailed names, dates, places, even exact quotes when the questions made him look good.

It's so tilting to hear them talk up all the WH leaks without saying how many times it was the WH that leaked! Jesus H Christmas! The ****ing POTUS even leaked classified intel 3 or 4 times and who knows how many times he was behind other leaks?

Re: FAKE NEWS
Unbelievable how it's June 13th and Republicans have to cite (ONLY) an old Feb 14th NYT article and say it was false. They even had to misrepresent Comey's statement saying it was mostly false, changing it to an absolute fabrication or whatever they said. Why don't these guys ever get pressed? (In general, and not just today or with Sessions) For example, "Can you cite any more recent fake news stories to prove your point?" "What percentage of news is fake?" No stats. No data. Ever. Just an anecdote. That's all the GOP has left. The positions have become so indefensible that their only remaining choices are huge lies (racism, religion, conspiracies, etc.) and anecdotal appeals to emotion (racism, religion, conspiracies, etc.).

And, something weird happened either yesterday or today in this Senate Committee. Or it was the talk about firing Mueller? It feels like the number of ******licans was much lower today. Only 3 or 4 out of 10 were looney. Some of the Rs were even better than some of the Ds.

Sessions: no, that's secret
Questioner: so you're claiming executive privilege?
Sessions: no, I'm just not going to answer that because Trump hasn't waived privilege
Questioner: that's not how that works
Sessions: whatever, I'm still not answering

Oh yeah, the Attorney General also said today that we are basically sitting ducks for hacking attacks by Russia and we "need to be doing a lot more." But he didn't say that the FBI or DOJ was doing anything. Weird.
