Sessions' Senate Session Sweat Sessions' Senate Session Sweat

Didn't he lie in his confirmation hearings? Hope they go into that a lot.

He might. He's a racist ****bag but the question is whether or not he's loyal to Trump. If he's just looking to cover his own ass, anything can happen.

I'd do more than lose my mind. The absolute LAST thing we need is for Jefferson Beauregard Sessions to be clean. NOOOOOOO. Then he gets to stay on as AG AND be a national hero.

A Sessions backstab would make this season of game of thrones incredibly disappointing. Can't top that.

Sessions is a truly awful human being and a big case to be made for him causing more damage to USA over the next 4 years than the donald joke, but lol @ this hearing having literally anything worthwhile. Dude is a pro. Gonna hear a lot of politic-speak and few concrete answers. "Could you define "is"" type of stuff.

Over under for how many answers he starts with "I can see why (you, people) might think that, BUT..." is at 10. This is not a real hearing. It is beauregard getting up there and carrying water for everyone who can help him on the way towards imprisoning minorities and suppressing the vote for no reason.

Well golllll-eeee. I hope all the moronic toothless Senate Democrats can keep up with the racist braniac skull lodged between those floppy helicopters he calls ears.

It's going to be stuff like this. The point of the hearing is to show that Mueller is compromised and/or unnecessary, and Sessions is clean. Based on the Comey hearing the R's are estimating they only need about zero answers in support of those points to make that a believable message in the right wing derposphere. If you find any betting sites booking action on when Mueller is fired and Sessions takes back the Russia investigation, load up on the under for any reasonable timeframe.

Utterly disgusting if the Republicans go that way this afternoon. Unfortunately you're right. Republicans can, and probably will, easily go that way.
06-13-2017 , 06:55 AM
Can they just ask something like "Do you think what Comey described is obstruction even if it were true?". Then Sessions says no, and if anyone ever calls for Trump to be investigated or tried they point out that the AG himself said there was no case to answer.

I assume giving a legal opinion is just a form of opinion, so isn't the sort of thing you can be accused of perjury over? Is Sessions answering such a question incompatible with him being recused?
06-13-2017 , 07:05 AM
Sessions' accent tilts me so hard. I would swear he came straight out of a Mark Twain novel if I didn't know he were a real person in 2017.
06-13-2017 , 07:13 AM
Get ready for a bunch of it doubletalking all afternoon.

Yeah it's going to be 1/2 working the crowd on the trial balloons started yesterday that Mueller should be fired because he's part of the great Soros-Comey-Clinton deep state regime, and 1/2 asking whether or not Hillary Clinton and Loretta Lynch will share a cell in Leavenworth or if they'll have to do solitary confinement for their crimes against America.

Just for laughs ...someone should start out by asking what was behind that very phony round of testimonials at yesterday's Cabinet meeting. I mean that didn't come off as spontaneous.
06-13-2017 , 08:01 AM
That was nuts. I mean, maybe this is why I'm destined to be in a cubicle for life, but I would have a really, really hard time playing along with something like that. Would probably have done some super sarcastic "what really impresses me is his attention to detail" in hopes of both satisfying the ****** and humiliating him simultaneously.

Lawrence O'Donnell pointed out last night that General Mad Dog Mattis was the only person who didn't humiliate themself in front of the whole country, nah, world. He said something about being honored to serve the Defense Dept and didn't mention Trump once. It is possible he woke up jobless this morning.

Sessions has to walk the line between being loyal to Trump and protecting himself. If he has to choose, he will go with protecting himself.

We will see about that. The fact he volunteered to testify in the open today without resistance from the White House is indicative of loyalty to Trump. If Sessions tries to be a national hero, it will be because he decided that overnight. IMO.

May as well not have a 25th amendment with this crew. Trump could have a stroke and be in a coma and those heros would claim that jesus is still working through him.

Life must be easy as hell when your claims only need to be limited by the bounds of your imagination.

Yeah, I get really strange feelings that this hearing is going to a Republican slaughterhouse. Sessions and Trump were way too anxious and willing. Trump is also desperately seeking REVENGE from Comey last Thursday. Revealing a plan to trigger the special counsel seems to have triggered the sitting pacing president.

I b4 executive privilege.

I think "I don't recall" will be a prevailing theme.

Sessions is one of them, I doubt they go hard at him at all.
06-13-2017 , 02:41 PM
Will he answer a question not asked ?
