McCain and Graham now say they'll vote to confirm Tillerson. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/mccai...ry?id=44954733

Guess we've found a new species of more aerodynamic swine...

ETA: McCain is, old, rich AF, newly reelected, and about as big of an anti-Russia hawk as you'll find in the Senate and he's still just shrugging his shoulders and falling in line.

Tom Cotton obstructed the nomination of Jacqueline Butts solely because she was a friend of the President and he knew it would hurt him. She died waiting for her confirmation hearing.

In short, **** Tom Cotton with a rusty spiked dildo laced with Ebola.

I hope we "obstruct" every last seat right down to the Supreme Court seat for four years.

Today they're voting on Rex Tillerson, Exxon-Mobil CEO, for Secretary of State. Quick reminder that 2016 was the hottest year ever on record. Before that, it was 2015. Before that, it was 2014. And they want to make this guy, who participated in the funding of climate change denial to an incredible degree, our Secretary of State. I say hell no.

Tillerson is gonna be something crazy like 53-41 or 52-42. I'm assuming 3-5 or so won't vote.

You guys know climate change doesn't matter if there is a Nuclear Holocaust, right?

Price and Mnuchin Committee votes delayed, dems boycott and deny quorum needed to vote.

DeVos will get through committee to a floor vote, but two Rs in the committee, Collins and Murkowski, are wavering on the full vote. She is in jeopardy.

UPDATE

Collins pledges no vote on DeVos. Will Murkowski follow now? Are there other Rs out there? Going to need 3 to be certain, as Sessions will vote if needed, as will Pence. Also assumes that D's will hold the line, which on a lesser (!!!) priority like Secretary of Education, might not happen, despite DeVos' patent lack of qualifications.

That's what cronyism is at its core. If he was qualified, it wouldn't be considered a favor.

Carson and Perry also with patent lack of qualifications.

Might wish they had not delayed the vote on confirming Sessions.

Eh. Big Mitch controls the schedule. Undoubtedly would have waited for governor appointed replacement if it was needed.

Murkowski is a no, and I've also read that D's are unified here. As of now, it's still not enough to reject DeVos.

Toomey might be best hope.

Guessing that was why the two R's were very public about their votes. Let everyone know they need Sessions and no one else can defect.

Cornyn says he has the votes. So Collins and Murkowski let DeVos through committee, only to "oppose" on the floor. Mitch must have threatened their committee assignments.
