Because there is no evidence she is white supremacist other than she is a member of the republican party.

This kind of dumb stuff and posting that fake letter from bannon this week really bring into question our claim of being the side of logic and reason.

This thread loves going absolutely stupid like that or hand signaling or whatever that probably <1% of the population is even aware. Not like Trump stated he wanted Russia to work with us in cybersecurity or anything like that we could be discussing instead. You know, something that actually matters but nope. People love stupid ****.

I don't know about you, but if I accidentally tweeted Nazi propaganda, I would take it down and issue an apology when someone pointed out my mistake to me.

I agree. I could absolutely see them not pulling it once they realized the error for fear of alienating their racist base.

At which point she becomes knowingly leaving it up there, which is hardly a distinction worth making.

Palin used a famous white power slogan to praise a Trump white nationalism speech, and people observed "14 words is a white power slogan," that's it. It's nutty to demand people not remark on such a thing.

You always say bull**** like this. First what the hell does "coincidence" mean in this context? Are you suggesting that "14 words" is coincidentally the same as the white power saying? As if that weren't bat**** crazy enough on it's own, then 'splain what 14 words were being talked about.

Second and mainly, she can delete the tweet right? At this point it doesn't matter if she wrote it or not. She owns it.

end rant.

Or maybe evidence of her getting good advice from counsel/trusted advisors maybe? Her admin was plagued by scandal and ethics charges.

The fallacy works by assuming that you'd prefer to bargain you're smart and most people aren't aggressively racist, and people like Palin are simply well-meaning morons ensnared by your deep cultural knowledge. The Raised by Wolves fallacy creates a good bit of dissonance by ultimately flattering the audience and it's easy to understand why it's a popular tool in the bull**** artist repertoire.

LOL Clovis does it bother you a little that DVaut sketched out not only your response here but like, the history of it, the underlying motivations, and so forth. Mother****er gave a SEMINAR on how tired your bull**** is and you still thought you'd come through for Mama Grizzly?

Get the **** out of here.

It's being a rational person and realizing not every republican is a sheet wearing, gang sign using, code word spewing white supremacist.

This is how the other side thinks, not us. I hold our side to a higher standard.

I'm not interested in stupid conspiracy theories or fake information about Trump or his people. There is enough real information to talk about. We don't need fake letters and other obviously unintentional things.

That's BS. Like you I've spent most of my life oblivious to things like the 14 words and white supremacists and maybe guys like George W. Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, and William F. Buckley did as well, but Sarah Palin, Steve Bannon, Steven Miller, Ted Nugent and the whole alt-right, Tea Party segment of the Republican Party may know close to nothing, but they know white supremacy.

Leaving it up is obviously terrible but it has only been 10 hours. If it's up tomorrow still then it has to be knowing.

It's your contention Palin is both an actual white supremacist and is knowingly tweeting their code words?

Also the tea party and all-right are not the same thing. There is overlap but certainly not the same ideology. The tea party was an economic small government movement.

She knows what the damn 14 words are and at this point she knows it's become a story. If she deletes it tomorrow it just shows she caved for some reason after first deciding to keep it knowing full well what it implied.

As I said, leaving it up she owns it. So, yes to the first part, and I'm agnostic on whether she noticed the title before tweeting in the first place.

But there is little doubt that people good at math are LESS likely to be racist than the average person and you know it. How could it be otherwise given that being racist is dumb and its a lot easier for people bad at math to be dumb?

This wouldn't mean she's not a white supremacist by any means, but perhaps she's been out of the news for a while and believes she profits from the attention.

It's quite possible I am missing some information. Can you cite something that she is a white supremacist?

I don't doubt she is a racist but that's a much different thing.
