We have U.S. citizens being held up in airports for 24+ hours without food, water, or bathroom access, but the "sickening" part is that a professor was pressured to apologize by some students?

Whatever is sickening is limited only by his imagination, as he cannot get facts from his own citations straight without blatant omissions or fabrications.

There is another alternative. And... this other alternative is actually what happens day-to-day IRL.

IRL when an OSJer shuts down a conversation by derailing, he is shaming the peep who he is accusing of "dragging race/sex/whatev into everything" for, in a word, being rude. This works pretty good day-to-day IRL. In casual IRL conversation, most peeps are going to want to avoid 'triggering' these RWNJs in the future... and will then go out of their way to avoid discussing race/sex/whatev in the OSJer's presence like the plague.

Online things don't work this way.

this is pretty succinct. lord clearly understands this bc he has done his best to tiptoe around actually declaring that he thinks the petitioners and protesters should be suppressed. instead he moves straight to spouting off about illiberal masses and other nonsense that doesnt solve the problem but instead reframes things to make his side appear righteous.

he has slipped up a few times tho, which is kinda funny to me.

Where do these trampling of liberties rank in terms of how much they bother you and why?

1. Trumps enthusiasm for asset forfeiture

2. The Texas woman getting 8 years in jail for not realizing she was ineligible to vote

3. People throwing around the word "racist" too much and starting petitions
