Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) invoked the shooting of former Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.) on Thursday to explain why he doesn’t want to meet his constituents in a town hall meeting.

“At this time, there are groups from the more violent strains of the leftist ideology, some even being paid, who are preying on public town halls to wreak havoc and threaten public safety,” Gohmert said in a statement, perpetuating GOP politicians’ unfounded claims that “paid protesters” are disrupting the meetings.

Ahahaha, cowardly ****s are too scared to show their faces even in Texas.

We've been trying to meet with or have a townhall with Rep Dave Trott in Michigan's 11th District. He's been ducking us for awhile, so we've been spreading the #chickentrott hash tag, had a few chicken themed protests at his office.

We held a townhall for him tonight. He didn't show, but we got a stand in:

Much of what he is doing is an expansion of GOP stances that had already existed. If Mike Pence was President, things such as repeal/replace Obamacare and a stricter policy on immigration would still happen. It's just that professional politicians know how to pass these laws without arousing this degree of protest from both the people and the judiciary. Fewer people would question these decisions and any protests that do occur would be a fraction of what they are now. They know that passing restrictions on freedom have to occur in small increments so people don't have the carpet pulled out from under their feet.

We just have to keep up the resistance throughout his term. If we get tired, then he will eventually get his way. It's a battle of attrition to stop this administration from doing basically anything it wants to do.

ya I agree with this. I think pence is more dangerous than trump.
