I've been there several times, but not yesterday.

For those not familiar with LA, Philippe's is an iconic local restaurant with "old-fashioned traditions such as rows of tables shared by several parties, wood shavings scattered on the floor". Make sure to check out the railroad history displays.

Philippe's claims to be the longest continually operated restaurant in LA (since 1908), and to be the originator of the french dip sandwich. It's located in LA's Chinatown, which is about four miles east of Koreatown. It's adjacent to the Plaza (Olvera St) and Union Station, and is well worth a visit.

I made this suggestion back in the OWS daze. It didn't work out that way. But if at first you don't succeed, try, try again... as they say.

So... I'd suggest this:

Dubbing this the D.Trump 'Resistance' news thread. Not allowing peeps to derail this thread by bringing up "the morality of it all". Peeps that wanted to chat about "the morality of it all" are free to start another thread about that distinct topic, if they care to.

This is how ****ed up you people are. You think 230 deaths in a foreign country is somehow more important than 7000 deaths per annum in your country from gun homicides, not to mention the 45,000 people who rot to death from lack of medical treatment.

I'm pretty soft on policing threads both out of principle and for practical reasons.

This probably isn't possible, but a sticky that several people could edit would be pretty cool for the purpose of upcoming events, phone numbers to call etc.
