Berkeley cancels conservative firebrand racist infotainment whore Ann Coulter’s speech over fears of more violent protests

Quote:
In a letter to a campus Republican group that invited Coulter to speak, university officials said that they made the decision to cancel Coulter’s appearance after assessing the violence that flared on campus in February, when the same college Republican group invited right-wing provocateur and now-former Breitbart News senior editor Milo Yiannopoulos to speak.

Oh she sells it for money, imo.

Coulter is vowing to go to Berkeley and incite violence anyway.

Media whore vows to put other people needlessly in danger in quest for more monetizable attention.

It's almost like she's openly breaking the law by trespassing on Berkeley property and bragging about it. Flaunting her white privilege in the faces of black and undocumented students because she knows she won't have to pay lethal or incredibly severe consequences (deportation, incarceration + disenfranchisement) because of her white status. And she is going to have her army of violent supporters (terrorists) descend on the city same as last time I would imagine, and they will try to blame Antifa.

She would be breaking the law, specifically CA Penal Code § 404.6 (a):
Every person who with the intent to cause a riot does an act or engages in conduct that urges a riot, or urges others to commit acts of force or violence, or the burning or destroying of property, and at a time and place and under circumstances that produce a clear and present and immediate danger of acts of force or violence or the burning or destroying of property, is guilty of incitement to riot.
She has been a best selling author and high profile media figure for decades. She has dozens of avenues available for her to reach an international audience. She has no credible claims to requiring extraordinary 1st Amendment protection. By her own admission she seeks to provoke, and her sole reason for giving a speech in Berkeley is to stir up trouble.

New health care bill is a thing. You know what to do guys.

"Please oppose the latest incarnation of TrumpCare. It would take away health insurance from millions of working class families in order to cut the taxes of the wealthiest Americans."

"Or to put it in Trumpian terms you'll understand: This is a watered down version of the first one."

So my congressman (Andy Barr [pretty typical follow GOP rep]) is having a town hall Monday night. KY is 6 districts, the Louisville district has a democrat. The other 5 districts are republican. The other 4 districts will be 100% be electing repubs. But if there is a hope of flipping a house seat in KY it is beating Barr. Lexington will lean the democrat candidate, the outside counties will heavily lean repub.

Not even sure if I will even be able to get into the building (I expect it will be packed), not even sure if I will be able to ask a question. But if I have a chance at a question, what is the best sort of question?

How can you vote to repeal the ACA without a replacement?

Since you voted for allowing internet providers to sell customers activites, will you make your browsing history public?
04-22-2017 , 07:41 AM
Well the best question is something that is important to you personally. Something about the AHCA would definitely be relevant as they are trying to revive it, the browsing history stuff is important to bring up as well as I think a lot of people never heard about it the first time around.

Put some time into a good question beforehand and stick to it when you're under pressure at the Town Hall. Depending on how feisty your Rep is, they might try to wriggle out of the question or deflect to another topic--don't let them. I think this is really the most important aspect.

Quote:
  • Stick with the prepared list of questions. Don’t be afraid to read it straight from the printout if you need to.
  • Be polite but persistent, and demand real answers. MoCs are very good at deflecting or dodging questions they don’t want to answer. If the MoC dodges, ask a follow-up question. If they aren’t giving you real answers, then call them out for it. Other group members around the room should amplify by either booing the MoC or applauding you.
  • Don’t give up the mic until you’re satisfied with the answer. If you’ve asked a hostile question, a staffer will often try to limit your ability to follow up by taking the microphone back immediately after you finish speaking. They can’t do that if you keep a firm hold on the mic. No staffer in their right mind wants to look like they’re physically intimidating a constituent, so they will back off. If they object, then say politely but loudly: “I’m not finished. The MoC is dodging my question. Why are you trying to stop me from following up?”
  • Keep the pressure on. After one member of the group finishes, everyone should raise their hands again. The next member of the group to be called on should move down the list of questions and ask the next one.

Oh look, another person who doesn't live in the US trying to meddle in our politics.

The irony of a yank moaning about people meddling in other countries politics.

Do you know how many times the US has meddled in other counties elections? How many wars the US has started for its own financial gain?

Events in your country effects everyone globally so wind that neck in.

On Friday’s broadcast of HBO’s “Real Time,” host Bill Maher weighed in on the controversy over author Ann Coulter speaking at UC-Berkeley by declaring, “Berkeley used to be the cradle of free speech, and now it’s just the cradle for f*cking babies.” And “this is the liberals’ version of book burning, and it’s got to stop.”

Maher stated, “Berkeley used to be the cradle of free speech, and now it’s just the cradle for f*cking babies, who don’t, — and I feel like –. You know, this goes on all over the country on campuses. They invite someone to speak who’s not exactly what liberals want to hear, and they want to shut — I feel like this is the liberals’ version of book burning, and it’s got to stop."

The place you copy and pasted this from without reading it seems to have messed up. If you want the remotest shred of credibility you should at least scan the stuff you're posting before you hit the go button.

No commentary on the actual message and instead you nit pick details. About what I expected.

It's obvious that at least Wookie thinks racist idiots should be free to express their opinions.

Is it wrong to hope that Berkeley has grassy knolls?
