Most still on it dont even like talking about trump anymore and have gone full head in sand mode.

A surprising number (to me, at least) of our nurses were at least conditional Trump supporters - both male and female - and now it's like he's a crazy uncle living in the basement eating the occasional bug. I think they'd get behind Pence pretty quickly, though.

Yeah agree. I think most trump supporters would have no issue with going with Pence at this point. Least the ones im around.

Hmm, The Nurse's Union was like the #1 Bernie supporter.

The nut-low Trump supporter I know is a black dude. He's pure InfoWars, and just the right mix of conspiracy nonsense and bull**** spiritualism that he makes up as he speaks. Identifies as a Freemason, Libertarian and several quasi-religious things, next year it might be something else. Pizzagate was an instant sell for him.

And he can't shut up about any of it for even a job interview these days. I doubt he's ever held a job more than 6 months.

I'm in Reno - skews a bit more conservative than say LV - I don't mean to give the idea there were a bunch of Trumpites - just people who thought he was a less bad choice than Hillary, from what I could tell.

My lord I don't think I could do it. It sounds miserable and unproductive.

Wow my resurrection was promptly beaten down.

Based on recent comments, normal people are slowly backing away from Trump in order to avoid admitting guilt for their decision. The cultists are there until the end.

Perhaps people will prove me wrong and choose party over Trump when the inevitable split occurs.

Kind of the definition of a cultist, no?

Guilt or shame or bit of both? I don't know how much party loyalty Trump would have a call on in any case - he was strictly an Republican as an opportunist, I think. The Trumpkins will follow him out I suppose, but I suspect a lot of them will just walk away from politics (at least on the national level) all together.

Were there stats on how many lapsed voters voted for Trump?

It's gonna play out the same way it did after the W years: all the W slappies who had a hardon for the Iraq War will quietly forget all that ever happened. They will 100% support the next incompetent clown the GOP puts forward without learning a goddamn thing.

Can we get some fresh content here? I’d love to do it myself but I’ve been very successful at exiling these vermin.

I was working with a trump supporter a couple of weeks ago. He insisted that he didn’t hate Democrats, just people who were so far left, they were stupid. His example was Nancy pelosi lol

I don't know about anybody else's Trump supporting relatives, but my mother has actually become more extremist since Trump was elected. It's not even support of Trump anymore. She's sharing straight up Neo-Nazi propaganda now from a Facebook group supporting Tommy Robinson. I'm not completely sure she's aware of it. I suppose she saw pictures of British cops from different eras* on a meme with an anti-PC and anti-multiculturalism message and went, "Cops have become more weaponized in the era of multiculturalism and political correctness. I'll share that!"

Thought I'd let her know via private message who Tommy Robinson is and point out that supporting white supremacy is a step beyond being a Trump supporter. IMO, the difference is really splitting hairs now but I thought I'd at least offer an out for her to not support the worst elements the right has to share with the world.

*I should note that the first pic looked like a cop from a Monty Python sketch while the other was armed with a ridiculous number of guns. Given that she visited me in the UK, she should be acutely aware that cops don't walk around like that. Hell, I saw more cops in one day in Charleston, SC than I did in the last few months in Scotland and none of the Scottish cops were packing.

Don't know this one IRL, but met him.

I was at Costco one day and grabbed lunch at the food court. The place was busy and an older (60+) guy asked to sit down at my table. This was just after the election and he immediately brought up Trump and how it wasn't a good idea to discuss such a polarizing topic.

Retired CPA.

Was pleased that of the last 9 elections, he'd voted for the winner 8 times (or something like that). Pretty sure he said he voted for Obama at least once.

Voted for Trump because he's an excellent businessman.

Has an adopted asian son who buys leather trench coats and Nazi patches, sews the patches onto the jackets, and sells them online. He told him to stop because who wants the feds knocking on their door?
