I don't want anyone not convicted of a serious crime deported, so this isn't a defense, but if one were to deport people crossing the Mexican border it's not really clear what would be the most compassionate place to deport them to. Behind Mexico the next most common countries of origin are El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras and many of those people have fled violence largely caused by the drug war, the legacy of civil wars we participated in, recent coups, and the exporting of our street gangs. Sending those refugees back might not be better.

Wild speculation can be fun as long as you don't lose perspective.

I don't believe he's doing a hand signal but that picture is still an entertaining addition to this thread, imo.

Source? Pretty sure most abused children do not go on to abuse others....

The vibe that I get is that a lot of these people are benefiting bigly from the ACA. Trump and the GOP's herp derp is literally a matter of life and death for them, hence the shouting.

I post on here a lot but I guess you never read my posts to see that I am just a little bit informed about US politics! It might be because I am an American. Do people really bother this much with people's nicknames on forums? Jesus. This is like the 20th time this has come up. I rarely bother with people's names unless they post a lot which makes me accustomed to them and even then I make like zero assumptions. It's a ****ing nickname.

Do you live in Switzerland or France with AllTheCheese?

I read everybody's posts. It's hard for me to remember names with no avatars though, and "eurodp" isn't exactly a name that sticks in the memory. You can always fill in your location to avoid this happening.

Fair enough I guess I'm just annoyed at how many times this has happened. It makes no sense to me that people judge posts more by the person's nickname than what is actually said.

And yea I wish I could change the nickname but it was made 11 years ago so .......

Well the ones that voted Trump deserve what they get.

It's a ****ing meeting held on a Tuesday morning. Please go ahead and do a meeting on a Sunday night. Let's see what the crowd looks like then.

People aren't going to change their views because you use logic with them. I'm a complete life failure and even I think my time is better spent elsewhere. Even this ******ed post is a better use of my time than arguing with someone on Twitter or any form of social media.

Media Matters? I know they've done those kind of reports.

Hard numbers are hard to pin down, most center around 20-30%. A lot of what I'm finding centers on male sexual abuse of females, which fairly obviously wouldn't see a victim-to-offender effect.

Would be interesting to know the % of Trump voters in the mix at these things. I'm guessing it would be a fairly high %.

Milo Y says something racist
Conservatives : Well obviously we disagree with him but we believe in free speech so we're going to keep inviting him and supporting him.

Milo Y says something transphobic

Milo Y says something Islamophobic

Milo Y says something pro pedophile
Conservative : We totally disagree with that. Disinvited!
Liberals : But we thought you were all about free speech?
Conservatives : but this time we really disagree so it's different.

I don't know what any of this means, I'm just looking for hand signals. The whole topic is very intriguing.

I'm so tempted to spam Breitbart Facebook pages etc with this.

You know that many actual Nazis were part Jewish, right?

Anyway, satire being a thing, I don't think anyone actually believes that Miller reads Mein Kampf to his kids every night.

Fixed that for you.

I think the tin foil hat gang sign conspiracy theory should be taken either to the conspiracy theory thread or the bigotry thread that got revived.

As someone who hates what Trump stands for, you aren't winning me over with this imaginary racism shtick. And I know you don't care about me, but if you aren't winning over someone who finds racism to be disgusting, you're definitely pushing away the folks you need to be able to win in four years. Again, though, keep this nonsense up and you'll get the world another four years of Trump. And then you can be shocked all over again.
