Exactly. One of the big driving forces behind NC electing a Democratic Governor recently was corporate backlash to the bathroom bill. Big corporations are naturally opposed to a lot of the stuff the Trump administration is going to try to do, so we need to constantly work to leverage them against each other. It's a winning platform for The People.

Not yet, I still need to pass the Chilean equivalent of the bar exam. But how is that relevant to the discussion?

My main point is that the law is flexible according to political reality. Of course violating principles such as due process is much lighter than deciding to overrule a judiciary ruling but they both can be done if the political conditions are there.

We're in uncharted waters here. He can't legally do what you're suggesting, but who will stop him? What we saw last weekend is that all of those checks and balances we Americans are so proud of ultimately boil down to gentlemen's agreements and respect for tradition.
