How about billions of dollars in money laundering for Putin and the kompromat associated with it. Piss tape irrelevant now.

Hint: Remember that single tax return from the 90s when he reported losing 995 million for the year?

I mean, the dude is a lifelong criminal, so a lot I would imagine.

Hey remember that weekly immigrant crime report Trump wanted? A friend mentioned it and I was like "oh yeah, what happened to that?". So I Googled and found this:

Quote:
The Declined Detainer Outcome Report is a weekly report that shows those jurisdictions with the highest volume of declined detainers, and includes a list of sample crimes associated with those released individuals. This report is mandated by the president’s executive order “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States.”
So how's that going? Well:

Quote:
ICE remains committed to publishing the most accurate information available regarding declined detainers across the country and continues to analyze and refine its reporting methodologies. While this analysis is ongoing, the publication of the Declined Detainer Outcome Report (DDOR) will be temporarily suspended.
As usual, the Trump administration's incompetence and inability to get things done is saving us from fascism.

Even the National Review is like, yea, he's going to fire Mueller

Quote:
The reason I tend to think Trump will end up firing Mueller is that this almost certainly going to happen (for those keeping score at home, I asked the percentage chance that Trump will fire Mueller on The Editors podcast today: Michael Brendan Dougherty was 200%; Charlie was 50%; and I was 70% or higher). This kind of expansion of an investigation is what special counsels do, and there is nothing to indicate that Mueller is going to limit his work, in fact the opposite. Bloomberg is reporting that Mueller is already looking at Trump’s business transactions. Maybe that report is premature, but it’s probably where this is headed.

All sorts of people will tell Trump not to fire Mueller. But we can be pretty certain that Trump didn’t sign up for a free-floating investigation into his businesses and that he believes — and must feel confirmed in the belief — that fortune favors the recklessly bold. If Trump doesn’t fire Mueller, it will only be because every other day he’s talked out of following his instincts.
I do like the part where the defense is going to show up as "Trump didn't sign on for this". I'm willing to bet when Trump does fire him we'll hear Trumpists talking about getting out of his lane, poor Trump just had to rein him in, etc. Never mind this isn't even an independent council that pretty much gets free reign to do whatever it wants, Mueller looking into Trump's Russian business transactions and the transactions of those on his team makes perfect sense to find any quid pro quo in the Russian interference in the election.

If I remember correctly it's because the initial reports were pages and pages of nothing burger offenses with minors' information mixed in. It was embarrassing.

Make no mistake, these guys are extremely big and extremely dangerous worldwide criminals.

Trump needs undivided deplorable devotion and it's pretty clear the Sessions and Bannon types are protecting him on his right/super racist flank and without those guys, it's just Trump and his family ****ing around. Don't think he can rid himself of JBS3.

tl;dr summary: Sessions gives Trump a bunch of institutional and hardcore racist Western Civilization Warrior ideologue credibility and it's hard to see how he can afford to lose him and keep his 40%
Counterpoint: Trump's an idiot and not thinking on this level, and he doesn't listen to people who are. If he fires Sessions it will be because of his ego and his ego is all he is. He caught the right wave at the right moment in the perfect storm and thinks he's a genius; he's not thinking about strategy.

Couple of statements:

I'll be damned if Jeff Sessions becomes a national hero over this.

Those who say nothing will happen if Mueller gets fired, get ready to watch nothing.

We're going to see things move at lightning speed now.

All nonTrumper commentators need to begin working in the phrase "pardon me" into every discussion.

Firing Mueller could make sense if he was working on this alone, but obviously that's not close to correct. I would think there are at least two or three other people who are up to speed on everything to the same degree that Mueller is. So, its like what Comey said when he was fired. The work will go on. Firing Mueller would launch a ****storm, but I don't see it stopping the investigation which is Trump's ultimate intention.

Yup, exact same thing happened with Cox. I mean I know we all just love CEOs in America, but it's the workers who do the work and Mueller likely has a deputy or two who he ensures has the full picture.

On Trump's taxes. The equivalent of the 1099 seems likely.

This reminds me, how it is that any general thing said in the WH winds up in the news within hours but not a single one of these tax returns has been leaked ever?

If I'm Trump and worried about leaks I'm just firing my entire staff and hiring random IRS workers. The mob at its height wasn't this big a fan of omerta
07-20-2017 , 10:35 PM
I think the **** with the taxes is really just that he's a lot poorer than he says and he really doesn't people to know. There's no Russia stuff or any smoking gun in there, just ego deflation.
07-20-2017 , 10:36 PM
Nothin says fake news like trying to figure out how to pardon your peeps.
07-20-2017 , 10:40 PM
As always, best play for Trump is to just rip off the band-aid. Of course I laundered money. That makes me smart, all the smart guys know how to play the game. I make big deals with billionaires and make lots of money --what's wrong with that? Why isn't the fake news saying anything about the Clinton Charity's Benghazi money?

Note, in June Adam Schiff stated that Congress would re-pass the old independent counsel law if Trump fires Mueller and would then reappoint Mueller. That may be wishful thinking, but there will be a ton of pressure.

That is my understanding. You get pardoned and there is no more fifth to plead.

JFC. Larry, my dude, don't tap the glass. Why would you inform him about that?

Haven't read this yet, but it's a 15 page June 2017 Congressional Reseach Service report on what would be required to fire the special counsel. https://fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R44857.pdf
