Tough to argue with logic like that. He clearly should have just pushed the big red "Start Recession" button that all presidents have under their desk.

OK, whose gimmick account is this?

I'm a big trump fan, or at least I was. You guys could be nailing him on so much. Trump says the stock market is at all time highs. LOOOOL. When trump says the market isnat all time highs I knew he was a fraud. Or got co-opted. Market is at all time highs because of all the cheap money and that's the only reason.
This is great. Normally these guys come into politics threads with detailed theories about the inherent fraudulence of fiat currencies and the dark conspiracy of central banking that will soon unleash the hellfire of inflation on us.

But not this guy. He skips the prophecies and states, contrary to all evidence, that inflationary end times are happening RIGHT NOW.
07-17-2017 , 07:33 PM
Yeah. This has to be a gimmick. No one is this dumb.

So this. People are just horrific at understanding what the president can do to control the economy.

Hint: almost nothing.

Trump 100000000000000000% knows that stock market highs that he is touting is because of cheap money and not because of him being president and what he is doing. So when he started touting this crap I started souring on trump.

Don't get me wrong tho.... I still like him there because liberals go bat**** over him being president and there is an entertainment value to that for sure. But I started to understand trump is a fraud or got compromised when he started becoming robotic about the stock market, economy, etc.

My vote for trump wasn't because I thought he would Make America great again, my vote for him was because he would make things fun as the ship continues to sink. We were past the point of no return long before trump got elected.
I think trump should always get out of bed on the left side every weekday that starts with a T. This is a surefire way to make the stock market boom.

Man, I know we have lots of experience with folks who fall in love with Trump and then assume that he will do whatever cockamamie things they dream up rather than listening to what he says and looking at his track record, but believing he was going to willfully trigger a recession is particularly special. (Why this happens so much is left as an exercise for the reader. When the subject is a Ron Paul fan, this is a very easy exercise).

Did I miss a meeting or is the USA not still the #1 economy on earth, having been such for like the last 100 years or something?

Never mind if it ain't broke don't fix it, guy's like Clay are arguing that it's not broke so let's burn it down and stomp on the ashes.

Yeah "CEO compensation is a joke" is not really an argument. It's certainly possible that companies are systemically overpaying their CEOs but:
1) this really only hurts the shareholders of the company, if true
2) I still don't see why we should regulate some bad strategic decision a company is making

How the heck did Melissa Mayer earn 300 plus million at yahoo? Guys lose hundreds of millions by mismanagement and walk away with obscene fortunes.
I guess? I can't comment on Marissa Mayer specifically but that is not really an argument that CEOs are overpaid.

So liberals correctly identified Trump as awful from the jump, this guy votes for Trump because of liberals going crazy, now he thinks Trump is an idiot, and the solution is to come here and rant at liberals?

Again the problem is prices are rising. Why are prices risIng??? Because govt and the federal reserve inflating away our wealth and destroying purchasing power.

A lot of liberals come across as quite arrogant, so I would not be surprised if many people voted for Trump with a partial (or greater) reason being that liberals would go crazy, and it would be fun to watch. Extreme liberals would dismiss this as an invalid approach to voiting which would of course confirm that voting that way was valid all along to those that did it, and like it or not, they are not entirely wrong as that is their inherent right.

This is hardly a new human reaction. I even remember seeing a nevertrumper (a conservative) during the primaries that was such a weenie that part of me thought how much fun it would be if Trump won the nomination just to see how people like that reacted. Humans gonna human, and a good chunk of the liberal side could do themselves a favor and acknowledge that for future campaigns to reduce that type of expected emotional reaction.

But wtf you think other countries are going to do with those dollars? Keep them in a lockbox under their bed forever? They're gonna use them dude. And then the tsunami that is going to crush us via inflation is going to make the tsunami that killed 250k people in 2004 look like nothing.
I think you need a few hundred posts before you can send and receive PMs. If you want to reach that threshold before you get banned, my advice is to post very quickly.

Don't get mad. I'm with you. I converted my entire net worth to precious metals years ago, and I have it all stored in my panic room. Lime you, I'm sharpening my knives and learning how to make primitive fire as I wait for the inevitable inflationpocalypse.

When I trade in my dirty, crumply paper fiat money for silver, I am sending a big FU to the federal reserve and its system of broken promises.
07-17-2017 , 08:11 PM
1. Nobody gets economics
2. Liberals don't nail Trump on his obvious flaws
3. ???
4. Vote for TRUMP

I was a big trump fan. Maga all the way. And now to be honest..... i don't see a huge difference between him and obama.
Well, if him and his family breaking laws, generally being corrupt liars, and potentially even being compromised Russian assets acting on behalf of a hostile dictator aren't the 'right things', I'm interested to hear what are.
