The more we talk about that, the better.
You're forgetting something important. Everything plays to the base. Everything.

H.R.193 - American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2017

I do like being sent that KellyAnne video by a friend, watching it and being like "well, surely #alternativefacts is a thing", then checking Twitter to find it atop the trending list.

They've been threatening to pull out of the UN for, what, 20 years?

Just like the base.

Reince Prebius sounds exactly like KellyAnne Conway now.

Conway and Preibus just spent a total of ~25 min on national TV and all they talked about was crowd sizes and media bias. I do wonder if all this BS about focusing on crowd sizes and tweets and blah blah is a deliberate tactic to distract from the real issues. Like Trump doesn't know anything about anything, his cabinet picks are a bunch of incompetent hacks, the GOP has no plan to replace Obamacare, etc. And the media is buying it hook like and sinker. If so, you gotta hand it to Bannon, and co. They really are playing 3d chess.

You are a trumpkin. You don't need to say you don't know anything. It's definitional.

This doesn't really make sense. If the economy has gotten worse over 8 years, wouldn't Obama's approval be negative?
01-22-2017 , 03:43 PM
everyone's thankful enough to at least have a part time barista job or man the culver's drive thru. this probably drove his approval rating up

Spicer lying about crowd size is not a scandal. Team Trump telling Spicer to lie about crowd size is not a scandal.

Every moment spent on this is a moment not spent discussing a genuine scandal, of which there are many to choose from.

The next four years are going to be full of these diversions.
The problem with this lie is that there are great visuals that show its a lie. For most of his lies, its hard to show to someone with a supershort attention span how much of a lie it is (e.g. there's no way to show proof of global warming in less than thirty seconds). In a twitter world, this lie is going to hurt as you can't really explain away the pictures without looking ridiculous.

They said organ.

I'm not a huge fan of the UN but this would just be a horrible move at this point. The world is on edge with trump in the whitehouse and this just sends the wrong message at this time. Not that I ever thought the Trump Admimistration would be anything short of totally deaf on foreign policy.

I would guess well below 50% of the people in Trump's inner circle know what the UN does.

don't they investigate and find out if countries have weapons of mass destruction??

How are odds for impeachment/resign in first term slightly above even money? It's insane right?

Of course it is!

They've been doing it since Conway and Bannon took over the campaign and it's worked because media is more concerned about ratings. Shock and hyperbole = viewer entertainment while they can't keep up with the onslaught of lie after lie. And god forbid they get one thing wrong, they are immediately attacked and labeled as fake and unreliable news. It boggles my mind they play right into their hands and have not figured out how to adjust by now.

I made an even money bet that impeachment proceedings begin no later than at the end of his 2nd year in office.

It's a nice bonus that the bill is clearly unconstitutional.

There was a pretty good visual of him mocking a disabled reporter. He lied about it and it went nowhere. If I recall, the media forgot about that when he attacked a gold star family. If it wasn't that, then it was surely something else. The media has been crippled by ADD.

Kasparov is right. It's important that it is an obvious lie.
