Diane Feinstein and Tulsi Gabbard are D cosponsors. Can't make this **** up. It's as if they decided on the basis of just not being hated enough on 2p2 Politics.

Feinstein was already hostile to gaming that's not a surprise to me. I think she's retiring after her current term is up, and she won't be missed.

Looking around I see this posted on a paywalled website looking like it belongs to a gambling trade group or something:

Quote:
Gambling lobbyists in Washington, D.C. are abuzz with speculation that U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is on the verge of announcing plans to overturn the 2011 legal opinion which cleared states to regulate internet gambling.

Ian Prior, principal deputy director of public affairs for the U.S. Department of Justice, on Friday declined to comment on rumors that Sessions intends to say as early as this week that he disagrees with the controversial 2011 opinion and will reverse it.

Sorry, I used the link provided by Namath12, which is apparently old. Thought it was strange that they listed a current senator in my state as a representative.

thanks goofy

he pretty much said he was going to during his confirmation hearings correct?

I guess it's news that it might happen soon and also another huge lol @ anyone that thought trump would veto the standard republican line wrt internet poker on such a small political issue in the scheme of things

Reminder that both Sklanskys and other admins were all, and continue to be pro Trump. Most posted how he would be better for poker. 2p2 is run by morons.

I think Mason started some stupid ass pro Trump thread in NVG or something, then deleted posts he didn't like (or maybe his own stupid posts?), this after GOP passed the Frist debacle and everyone here has spent a decade laughing at him.
04-17-2017 , 04:47 PM
Mason full on deleted users who argued with him about it.

Seriously. If anyone wants to understand the mindset of a Trump supporter voting against his own self-interest, just go look at all the threads Mason's started over the years endorsing the people who are trying as hard as possible to sink his business for good.

Bill Frist might be personally responsible for taking millions of Sklansky dollars out of Mason's pocket, but Mason sure has his priorities straight when he makes a thread about why you shouldn't vote for Obama in 2008 because the damn Kenyan Muslim wants him to get healthcare for his employees.

Seriously wtf? It's a referendum, not an election. It's like calling Britain up to congratulate them on a new restaurant regulation AND international observers said the referendum was completely dirty.

Did Mason actually claim to have 50 FTEs? If so, what could they possibly be doing? A few web guys, an editor (specifically, an enthusiastic golden retriever who's been trained to operate a rotating lottery drum containing rubber stamps of random punctuation marks, the phrase "Do you see why?" and a typesetting instruction to "use the big cards!" and stamp manuscripts with whatever stamp he pulls out of the drum), maybe some back-office/accounting guys, but who else? Are they running an actual printing press or something?

Yea he just deleted the posts that disagreed with him and after dozens (maybe hundreds?) he gave up and locked the thread.

No, I think 2+2 had just a few employees but he definitely made a thread like "I was going to hire another one but Obama's tax plan would prevent me from doing so. Vote McCain!". Zero mention of how many dozens more employees he could have hired had the GOP never passed UIGEA.

Damnit, took a nap before and got TILTED catching up with this thread. I seriously hate this administration.

I know what you mean. I have to keep taking breaks from the news and reading this forum because it reminds me of the pathetic cowardly and selfish ***** most American's have become.

Not to mention how incredibly selfish POTUS is. We shouldn't ever have to question whether or not the President would blow up the world to avoid an FBI investigation closing in on him, but for some ungodly reason...here we are.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) said that she was "not there" on single-payer health care at a town hall on Monday.

The San Francisco town hall booed Feinstein when she said that she doesn't currently support the socialized system that is strongly supported by former Democratic presidential primary candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.).

...

If single-payer health care is going to mean the complete takeover by the government of all health care, I am not there," Feinstein said.

Feinstein's response drew loud boos from the audience, with some in the audience holding up signs that read, "Retire Feinstein."

Manson and the Sklansky's are an embarrassment to poker and they should be rightfully shunned.

I absolutely cannot wait to read the idiotic Sklansky post about how this is all good for poker.
