if dems take midterms it'll be a direct threat to impeachment. trump has settled out of court many times before, he's done a version of this before and knows to surrender when he's backed into a corner. impeachment + mueller digging into him for 2 full years should = house on fire for a rational actor.

is it even a question as to whether Pence will pull a Gerry Ford or does anyone itt think he might choose to not pardon and let the justice department settle it?

Statement by President Donald J. Trump on the Elevation of Cyber Command
Almost zero chance Trump had anything to do with this decision or benefits from it in any way. I doubt he even understands what it's about. It's just a reorganization that some general probably wanted. It's more likely the reasons for that are to more effectively defend the US vs cyber warfare than it is to allow Trump to sell us out more easily to Putin or whatever.

I think decisions like this are more Trump's speed.

He just wants to be treated like a POTUS and that's something he'll never get from the majority of Americans.
Admittedly a bit of speculation on my part but I agree. I think he just wanted the title and prestige, but not the actual job of being President. As time goes on he's going to increasingly come face to face with the reality that most people in the US think he sucks, I don't care what Fox or his inner circle try to feed him.

It's a tiny silver lining to see him trapped in the situation. He's accustomed to getting his way and removing threats to his ego, but the realities and demands of POTUS won't allow him those comforts. He may or may not quit, but I don't see an easy out for him that would allow him to do so with his head held high, no matter how he might spin it.

Wait, Trump is stupid?

One thing that I love about Trump being on Twitter is you know it's 100% him. When it's someone else that's famous, half the time it's the assistant. Not Trump. You just know he's sitting on the ****ter while he's tweetin'.

His twitter is a heap of smouldering medical waste.

WTF why do I not remember all of this?

Quote:
OCTOBER 2016
Deutsche Bank Refinances Kushner Building Purchased From Putin Ally
Jared Kushner’s real estate company finalizes a $285 million loan with Deutsche Bank as part of a refinancing package for its property near Times Square. In total, the refinancing deal reportedly results in Kushner’s company receiving $74 million more than it had paid for the property in 2015, when Kushner had negotiated the purchase with Lev Leviev.

According to a 2007 New York Times report, Leviev — a Uzbek-born Israeli citizen who is one of the world’s wealthiest men — kept a framed photo of Vladimir Putin on his office shelf and described Putin as a “true friend,” who has helped him in his work with an influential Jewish organization in Russia.

At the time of the October 2016 refinancing with Kushner’s company, Deutsche Bank was negotiating to settle New York state regulators’ charges that it had aided a possible Russian money laundering scheme. Eventually, the state cases were settled in December and January.
http://billmoyers.com/story/trump-russia-timeline/ (I can't figure out how to link to an individual entry, so just Ctrl+F something unique from the quote)

3 takeaways.

1) That extra $74 million in a year sure looks rotten.
2) Same Deutsche Bank as Trump's unpaid loans.
3) The timing of the NY State settlement.

*) It was a PITA to add all of those 4 links to the quote. Is there a way to use WYSIWYG that I'm missing, or is it disabled? I'll be getting pretty much everything Russia from that link from now on, so shortcuts would be huge.

Why did he make such a rare tweet about it? He only does that when he wants us to know something's happening.

I hate the Tweets. Athletes, actors, musicians (etc) who keep Twitter personal are great, and it sucks when they just use social media for nothing but promotion and re-tweeting causes. POTUS benefits from a little restraint in what you say casually. Sort of like the head of the Fed Reserve, prominent judges, etc.

That's before considering that his posts suck and come off like a plea for help to his sycophants. But even if they were good I think that kind of thing on Twitter is a bad idea, Trump or not. Once out of office though hey go nuts I'm all for it

The teevees said Bannon left WITH a security clearance? That can't be normal. And even if it is, it can't be normal for someone like Mister Bannon.

Obama: Hey gang of 8, the IC says Russia hacked our election.
McTurtle: You mention a WORD of this to the public and I'll rain a political ****storm on you like you'd never believe! And even if we win, Trump will do it anyway.

Ryan: Hey brother, keep it in the family. Ha! Just joking...you're not our brother.

How does this tweet read if 10 black men beat a dude in a MAGA hat to death?

They're smart enough to see they're losing the democracy game. Balls will matter when they have to decide whether to knock the board over and go full Nazi.

This should make it all better. We're all going to forget about what he said last week. Dude's a chess player.

Can Trump let that tweet alone? How long until he clarifies that the peaceful protestors on both sides are part of the healing process?
