I mean it probably means Trump's lawyers know he did something illegal.

Unsurprisingly, Trump’s lawyers disagree. The business transactions in question “are in my view well beyond the mandate of the special counsel,” John Dowd says via email. Dowd adds that the financial dealings cited in the story are “unrelated to the election of 2016 or any alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.”

“Most importantly,” Dowd says, the transactions “are well beyond any statute of limitation imposed by the United States Code.”

The guy I know who did it was doing it in a deceptive way (he's not particularly religious) and he's got the stink of salesguy tricks on him badly enough, but he's generally a good guy who gets work done well at a good price and stands behind things. (he's more paper contractor than tool belt wearing)

donald trump's lawyers, who are in the process of examining donald trump's businesses, are evidently looking up and studying statues of limitations for various crimes. bloomberg asked the president's lawyer about his businesses and the lawyer immediately started thinking about all the criminality and started his prepared defense that, yeah the president committed crimes in his business, or maybe committing crimes was his business, but it's no longer prosecutable therefore special counsel can't even look into the underlying nature of aforementioned crimes.

How does Trump not accidentally hire one competent person? His perfect record is really impressive.

Others have said it more eloquently, but the realization that tons of people I assumed were decent human beings are unrepentant Trump voters has rocked me to the core. I'm an upper middle class midwestern male, and it is now obvious that like 90% of the people I talk to on a daily basis are complete pieces of ****.

And the fact that Trump is essentially operating like a Russian agent doesn't faze them a bit. His shtick is not even that good, but it seems to work with a lot of people. He loves the poorly educated and they love him. In truth, I think we overestimate the number of Trump supporters who are even paying attention to any of his troubles. And if they were, they wouldn't care.

Now and then I see guys advertise as "Christian plumbers" or whatnot. I snap-assume they're scam artists.

The competent ones all turned him down. Their concerns were that he A) Doesn't listen to their advice, and B) Doesn't pay for services if he disagrees (which he does all the time anyway, because see A).

Did you talk about him looking to issue pardons to his family, advisors and even himself?

The Trumptards I spoke to today didn't care. It was basically, "So what? It's in the Constitution and it's legal. What's the problem?"

They just can't ever make it to level 2.

If their leak talk hurts your soul, watch how these nuts butcher unmasking and turn a legitimate response to national security of the Trump campaign & transition into a widening network of mass abuse and criminality.

95% of what they say is based on supposition and conjecture and presented as fact. I'm almost embarrassed to post this. Good thing I only watched the first 9 minutes before puking. Again, only proceed if your lawyer soul can handle it.

Yay Fox News. And remember, Boris Epshtyn's Sinclair is taking over 100s of local news channels and they're much worse.

You're not alone. If I had to make a list and cross out all my good friends and family members who turned out to be Trumpkins I'd be down to like five people. It takes a toll. It really does.
