Your suggestion British wiretapped you & jape with Merkel are harming our relationships with key allies. This is called "collateral damage."

The intelligence community concluded the Russians will interfere again. This is why full investigation is important to country. Please stop.

Mr. President, the Russians hacked our election and interfered. No one disputes this now, but you. This is what is called "fact". https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/...76582825267201

As you will see during our hearing, Mr. President, there is no evidence Mr. Obama tapped your phones. This is what is called "fiction."

Over at /thedonald Comey's testimony was a total and complete vindication of Trump and all his tweets.

Since we can to make up our own reality, I would live in their world if they could promise Natalie Portman would be my girlfriend.

It's quite the bold stance to admit today that yes the FBI should investigate if there is evidence. It's almost as bold as saying accused murders should face trial. He took his stance early on to completely ignore and downplay the Russian issues and instead of taking any number of opportunities to catch up he has dragged his feet like he was actually a republican congressman.

He took a provocative position based on almost nothing and decided to gamble. He was wrong and continues to underplay it. But what are the consequences?

Do you want me to quote the half dozen dumb tweets he was making arguing with people about mccarthites? That is his entire dumb angle on all this and he refuses to let it go.

He fell in love with his own rhetoric and how cute he thought it was and still thinks it is. If it would have been up to him and his position all along even these basic hearings would not be taking place. So that he says "Yeah if Russia does something we should check it out" is not some great position of thoughtfulness and reflection on his part.

That he would use evidence in quotes is even sillier given the opening remarks by comey on behalf of both the FBI and DOJ. The bottom line is the guy lacks any legitimacy he is just someone playing games.

Replace girlfriend with "17 virgins" and then we can start to understand a lot more about how propaganda works.

He added, “As with any counterintelligence investigation, this will also include an assessment of whether any crimes were committed. Because it is an open, ongoing investigation, and is classified, I cannot say more about what we are doing and whose conduct we are examining. At the request of Congressional leaders, we have taken the extraordinary step, in coordination with the Department of Justice, of briefing this Congress’ leaders, including the leaders of this committee, in a classified setting, in detail, about the investigation, but I can’t go into those details here.”

does anyone else see the importance of these words or am i dumb?

Please. Glenn took a stand stating that the Democrats were using Red Scare tactics to discredit the GOP and their victory in the Presidential election. Now that the smoke between Russia/Trump is confirmed by Comey, he's trying to walk back his comments with tweets like those.

The reality is that he has an ego as large as (if not more so than) the mainstream journalists he criticizes on a regular basis. If he had the integrity that he claims the NYT and WaPo don't have, he'd come out and admit that he was wrong with his assertion. Instead he's trying to save face with tweets like the one above.

He's not obligated to report on the things you want him to report on, dude. Today is a particularly weird day to be drumming all this up as vindication for the RUSSIA!!! crowd, since from my digestion of today's news so far there's nothing new and especially no new evidence?

Like, if evidence of Trump-Russia collusion is ever found Greenwald's not going to be sitting there with pie in his face like "FAKE NEWSSSSS", he's going to be glad that people reporting on the subject are finally doing so based on facts and hard evidence rather than conjecture and circumstantial evidence.

I sometimes get the feeling that Greenwald is genuinely friends with Snowden and is downplaying the Russia stuff in an effort to protect Snowden. If Russia kicks Snowden out there's no place left for him to go.

Remember, when it's unfavorable to CEOs then there's a lot of uncertainty in legislation which will harm business in some objective way that's not just CEOs b*tching, but when it's favorable to them then it's all good.
