There are some cops that just dont get it. Then there are the ones that understand the Constitution. I would never consent to any searches if I got stopped, but I wouldn't be an a$$ either. I would basically be as cooperative as possible while giving the least amount of information as possible. Again, in CO it's a different ball game out here. People really don't care much. LEOs will get a MWAG call from time to time, but they handle it pretty well.

****ing APD, it's like they've got the same trainers as Seattle PD.

Here's the only story I could find:
Quote:
A man was in stable condition Monday after being shot in the hip by an Atlanta police officer.

APD spokesman Sgt. Curtis Davenport said the shooting happened in the 500 block of Paines Avenue near North Avenue.

Homicide Commander Paul Guerrucci said police received a call about 11:30 a.m. about a man walking down the street with a weapon.

Guerrucci said officers found the suspect, who was armed with a shotgun, and "during their investigation shots were fired and the individual that was armed with the shotgun was shot at least once in the left hip." He said the suspect was taken to a hospital in stable condition. The shotgun, he said, was loaded but he declined to say if the suspect fired at officers.

I keep seeing APD in the posts and its messing me up. Gotta remember your talking about a PD and not talking to me. Lol.

If ya gonna OC, just be smart about it, and imo there's only one smart way: the old school single action revolver in old west style belt holster.

People's reactions start small and don't build to nothin, like: "hey is that some sort of wild west re-enac...wait is that gun real? Huh, it looks like it, crazy weirdo." Ultimately they conclude you are a slack-jawed hick. Yet! You are the ultimate disincentivizer to crime and are just as well protected.

The dumb way is carrying anything else openly, especially but not limited to: tricked out .45 XD's on some loud blackhawk! thigh holster, any kind of assault weapon, a glock tucked in the back of your pants offset by your glistening white T-shirt, or my favorite, the guy with the T-boned long gun slumped around his shoulders like he's carrying Christ's cross across the parking lot towards the gun store. In all the instances, people's immediate and frightening reaction will revolve around you being a bad person who is up to no good. And so will the cops.

I actually planned on wearing my OD green Serpa Level III thigh rig with the attachments hoping to create that very effect.

I'm not a fan of IWB holsters that don't stay open during a draw.

Other than that no real experience with it.

Ankle rig looks decent.

Over on the XDtalk forum, the universal recommendation for an IWB holster is the Crossbreed Super Tuck. Never tried one, though.

Crossbreed is great, Comp Tac C-Tac is great, BladeTech holsters are very good.

Really made me reconsider my stance on my feelings that OCers were just being douchy to the police. Well, that's not true, I still think that, just now I think it's a necessity.

I plan on harassing APD tomorrow at a burger king downtown. Hopefully NeBlis will be there as well. TR to follow.

is/was NeBlis LE?

If the shotgun man opened fire on them they'd snap report that 100% of the time, right?

No, although I think he's a Vet. Not 100% though.

Yes, that'd be the headline:

"Man Wielding Shotgun Fires On Police"

Remember, the whole point of the interview/article is to paint them in the best possible light. They won't often outright lie but they'll phrase facts in a certain way to make it look much worse than it is. They're damn sure never going to cover up the threat.

Also, anytime you read the phrase "The Officer received MINOR injuries, you can rest assured that statement is true in the truest sense of the word. I don't know the exact injuries the cop has here are, but it could be anything from a skinned knee to a scratch on his arm. If it was even a laughable injury it would've been phrased "The Officer involved was treated on scene by Atlanta FD and released".

Looks like the deal for that XD 9MM sub is going down. When all is said and done I estimate I will have paid ~$225 for it. I bought a car off my brother. It has some issues that is beyond my level of being able to fix. Was able to trade the car for the XD and cash. I have to split the money with my brother though. Had I not had to split it with him I would of made $50 and had the XD. Oh well, still got a great deal IMO.

My 1911 I paid around the same price. I bought it off a buddy for $400 and he had a crimson trace laser grip that came with it. Problem was it was the wrong model. Was able to sell the crimson on Ebay just north of $180.

I guess my next gun will be a Shotgun. Really digging the 870 my buddy has.

i like their tendercrisp chicken sandwich and their whoppers tbh.
05-15-2012 , 06:11 PM
Well I don't think they like you.
05-15-2012 , 06:23 PM
FWIW, I see people OCing in Chick Fil A and in Popeyes, so they don't mind (at least in AZ).

I don't eat Burger King, so it really doesn't matter to me.

Why did they boot you from BK DBJ? You ask the cashier girl for a BBJ?
05-15-2012 , 09:02 PM
I got stopped by the Barney Fife security guard and asked to leave.

Manager came out, said they only allow CC. This all started because a guy got harassed by these rent a cops.

So we went down to Quizno's, were welcomed with open arms, spent nearly $100, sent the receipts to BK Corporate.

APD was out in force. Never said a word, standing around staring. I was looking to get approached.

Damn you were hungry !
05-15-2012 , 09:08 PM
BK sucks anyway, I'm on board with the boycott.

LOL.

There was about 10 of us, so in all seriousness we were being a bit extravagant with the lunch orders just to prove a point.
