Pretty sure it is a level.

It would make much more sense to get one of these:

The drum magazine would be nice too.

I don't know how many rounds that is supposed to hold. but at centerfiresystems they used to sell a 75 round banana clip. They have sold it forever but I just looked and didnt see it.

That could be it.

lolll, funnily enough, the sprite box and red cup are both pretty good ideas. Would probably buy you a second or two as whoever you're trying to kill looks over you and goes "red cup...NO WAIT"

Well you need to eliminate the targets that would make you bust out in laughter and compromise the integrity of the op first, obv.

well, what do you plan to do with your new gun? How do you plan to use it, is it for self defense/home defense or target practice? Do you plan to carry or leave it at home?

Well, I would like home defense to be a function but I will mostly use it for target practice. I'm definitely going to leave it at home.

I'd like a gun that's good to learn with. I'll shoot it a bunch at the range to get comfortable and then see how I like it/if i want more.

I was thinking a .357 revolver.

Revolvers, I understand, are great for home defense because you can leave them loaded for months/years at a time and they will still work fine. They're also supposedly easier and safer for noobs.

Of course, I can be easily swayed and have heard 357 ammo is really hard to come by right now.

Revolvers are low maintenance, and they can be trusted to a higher level than autoloaders.

That being said, the recoil on a .357 is enough to make them a bit painful to shoot, at least for extended periods at the range. You are correct, .357 ammo is hard to come by. The good news for both these points is that .357 revolvers can safely fire .38 special rounds, which are both easier on the hands and plentiful.

IMO, if you're gonna get a revolver, I strongly recommend a Smith & Wesson or a Colt. Try to stay away from Charter Arms, or any revolver that can be had for under $250-$300.

A snub nose 357 mag revolver is a great home defense gun. Basically an idiot proof hand cannon.

edit: don't toy with that 38 mickey mouse ammo. If the caliber does not start with a 4, then .357 mag is the only alternative.

Wat

A snub-nose is good for concealment, but weak in every other area. If this is only a home defense/target gun, JTM would be much better off with a 4" or even dare I say 6" barrel.

I carried one of those .357 snubbies on my ankle in uniform for a while and hated that gun so bad I moved up to a .40 Glock 27 for an ankle gun, and have been much happier.

Also, the gun caliber that is best for you is the one you can shoot accurately the most. For some that's a 9mm, for some that's a 38, for some that's a 50 AE. Hell my ex wife couldn't shoot a 9mm to save her life but I feel absolutely confident she could drop any threat with the .22 Taurus she carries in her purse.

I was going to get a ruger gp100

but .38spc and .357 ammo was really tough to find

cant go wrong with a 357 revolver if you can find ammo imo
