I got into a ridiculous debate on another forum a long time ago about the existence of 100 round drums for AK47s. Although the 75 rounders are much more common, 100 rounders do indeed exist.

Picking up one of these tomorrow :

congrats BG, I love these little M4 look-a-likes! A Japanese general was interviewed after WWII and was asked why he did not invade the west coast of America and he (paraphrase warning) said- because most people in America have guns and they know how to use them."

But making it even more problematic is that its not a regular mini 14, its the new NRA version with the 16 inch thicker barrel, which costs more than an ordinary mini 14. So, ya, as I've been explaining, the rifle costs about $750 new, or something like that, and its got a bunch of upgrades (stock bedding, trigger job, a few other things) that cost about $250.
sold it tonight for $800

sweeeeeeeet. fix your AK stock yet?

no. you'll know when i do, because i'll be asking you for some pointers before i do it. its not really a priority for me at all right now.

now i'm trying to decide how important it is that i get a sub compact gun or not, cause I really want the XDm9, but its only in full size.

True, but 15 rounds in a sub-compact seems to always make the grip a bit too bulky and unwieldy for my tastes, tbh.

I have an H&K P30 (which is similar to the P2000 regular) and I love it. It is small enough for anyone to really conceal, and is 15+1 rounds. Some of the best feeling, most comfortable grips I have ever had on a handgun. It is an uber tack driver as well. Yes, like all H&Ks it is pricey, but I don't regret buying it at all, as it is one of the slickest, straight shooting handguns I've ever shot.

EDIT: I think you have to get a FOID application approved. Illinois really sucks when it comes to gun ownership. It is one of the most restrictive IIRC.

Well if you live in Chi town its a no no for you to have any handgun.

If not, I think all you have to get is the FOID (which I don't think is too difficult unless you have a felony or some chit like that), which the Gestapo there make you get for any gun anyway.

Will do (once I can get the pictures from my phone to teh computerz).

They actually look a bit different. Instead of the top section/half being plain ivory, the whole thing is engraved with a weave. Looks really cool and am really happy with them.

I got them from Esmerelda. She makes some really cool exotic wood grips. It was a tough choice between these and a few others on there, but my love for Norse mythology ended up being the deciding factor.
