you should just buy an M&P pro or 9c or a Glock 17 or 19 like I told you from the begining... but you were poormouthing. This is a cheaper option you get what you pay for IMO.

I assume they don't make 9mm revolvers?
.38 is 9mm for all intents and purposes, but the case is shaped a bit different for autoloaders

Half the reason I was thinking of moving away from a revolver was the lack of a safety, but if I'm gonna get a gun with no safety anyhow, should I reconsider getting a revolver?
You should get both at some point LDO. And your finger is the safety.

Generally speaking an autopistol is gonna be a little more flexible than a wheelgun.

wheelgun means revolver? flexible?

speak to me like i'm an infant when it comes to guns, pretty please

good luck trying to reload your revolver when your hands are shaking in fear/adrenaline and you keep dropping rounds and the shaking only gets worse until eventually the intruder kills you

Thats why you need to bang as many Cinderellas as you can until you find the perfect one, and even then you will probably want some on the side.

Pretty much just proof of what most gun professionals already preach: With enough training any ******* can master any antiquated ****ed up weapons system.
12-02-2012 , 01:30 AM
yes dbl but we don't all get free range time funded by the tax payer you know so pretty sure LK needs to just look at the m&p and call it.

Soon ITT Taso will discover how rural lands work.
12-02-2012 , 01:33 AM
how is the brand pronounced? is it "sucky" or "s-c-c-y"? Just want to know how to not sound like a dip**** when I ask the dealers the company says carries their guns if they have any in stock. And I assume most gun shops would have an m&p in stock? and a glock... 17?
12-02-2012 , 01:33 AM
hey dbl

it's 'sucky', (my brother works there)
12-02-2012 , 01:37 AM
im not calling a device that I may have to use to save my life "sucky"
12-02-2012 , 01:41 AM
On a related note, a .357 revolver is ****ing money in a skin on skin close CQB battle.

Can't knock it out of battery, can press it into the attacker and fire, they go bang every time, they're not all bad. It's a ****ing tool. It has a purpose.

Sure an M&P is better, a Sig is better than an M&P and a Kimber Custom Shop is really the ****.

**** all this M&P **** Low Key, get a custom Kimber, or maybe a Les Baer! Yea, **** it, go with a Les Baer!

It's "Sky".

(I know the owner of the company.)

Also, you'll find a G17 in nearly all gun shops, close to all are gonna stock M&P's. If they've got a S&W contract, they'll have M&P's. thàts S&W's bread and butter right now.

If you call the gun store and ask if they sell "sucky" pistols they're gonna go "Yea, we got Hi-Point"

I love revolvers.. not sure why there's so much hate ITT.
12-02-2012 , 10:07 AM
It's not so much hate, it's just a fact that overall revolvers are inferior to semi-automatic pistols.

clear to me imo.
12-02-2012 , 11:08 AM
how many loaded magazines would one need to keep by their bedside table for this to be different? (cuz I could reload a revolver under stress easier than one of them spring loaded bastards any day of the week)

I've never been in a shoot out with an intruder, but I have to think that if we're both armed, one of us will be incapacitated in one form or another within about 5-6 shots each.
12-02-2012 , 11:18 AM
My standard carry is two spare mags, plus the mag in the gun.

No, you certainly don't want to be loading magazines during a gunfight.

One of the advantages of an autoloader is how quickly magazines can be changed and the ease of transport.

But, to follow up on some of the ribbing Tsao and I were giving each other, you need to practice reloading. It's not a natural instinct, if you don't train you'll be fumbling around if you're ever in a high pressure situation trying to find the magazine release, reaching and feeling trying to find your mags, then fumbling around like a virgin on prom night trying to find the hole.

ohHhh, found a local shop with the two-tone cpx-2 for $247, on sale till the end of the year

chances this gun might also be a range rental?

do most gun shops also have a range? some of the local websites aren't really clear on if they have ranges or not.

Though, here's a little gem from the intro page of one local dealer:

Quote:
Slavery

"Submission to a dominating influence"
"slavery." Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary. 2010.
http://www.merriam-webster.com (August 2010)

There is no mention of race, sex, or creed in this definition. If you cannot defend yourself you are no better off than a slave. Everyone who gives up their rights, or allows their rights to be taken away, is a slave.

Elect our government representatives to represent us, not enslave us.

To ensure that our liberties are not infringed, we must be vigilant, we must vote, and we must do so with wisdom.
This same dealer who has listed, in their politics section of their gun shop website, a link to a pro-jewish gun website.
