Safeties are for pussies and liberals IMO.

No need to get so redundant

So it's looking like Obama will get a 2nd term and I'm leaning towards joining the buy guns now! hive mind and obtaining an AR15 while the getting is good.

The one I'm looking to get is exactly what I want except it has a pinned A2 birdcage and I want an AAC blackout 51T just in case I ever want a suppressor(may as well keep my options open). Anyone know how hard it is to remove and replace a pinned muzzle device?

I've never practiced self defense shooting, but have thought to myself several times "**** how am I gonna get a perfect sight picture when some **** sucker has drawn down on me and my heart is beating out of my chest"

But if you stand still and let me aim, you're gonna get measured for suit lol
George zimmerman?

Here's a good article on getting your A2 birdcage off.

Thanks for the link DBJ, kinda looks like it's a PITA and takes tools and perhaps skills I don't have. Maybe I can just mail a Blackout to them and have them attach it for me.

What do you guys make of the record gun sales lately? Fear of a lame duck democrat Prez? Mayan 2012 predictions spooking the unwashed masses?

Looking around at different AR makers, I noticed Noveske seems to only have SBR's available and is sold out of their more conventional sized ARs, Bravo Company stopped taking orders altogether and Spike's Tactical has jacked up all of their prices. I just read that Sturm, Ruger has received orders for over one million firearms in this quarter alone and has stopped taking orders.

Yea, it's mostly ZOBAMA madness.

Some founded, some unfounded.

If they're buying guns because "ZOMG, jack booted thugs coming for my guns!!" that's unreasonable.

I think a good portion of gun owners do have a legitimate fear that with a Dem Congress and a lame duck Obama, PITA legislation that makes getting guns an insanely intrusive process isn't an unrealistic fear. It wouldn't surprise me to see some list of gun owners being created by the government for the day when the propaganda becomes strong enough that the actual "gun grab" the nuts fear actually does occur.

The glee of the poster beng able to legally shoot someone , and get him fitted for suit , in the name of self defense, is pretty evident. I am glad 99% of you nuts cant carry a gun in my city.

"Any of us"? I am assuming some of you guys are cops/law enforcement . are you guys allowed to carry a gun into NYC because of that?

He's saying despite the law, anyone can carry a gun in NYC because the overbearing gun control laws don't actually prevent anyone from carrying if they want to. So you get a situation where only the criminals and government officials are armed, but the law abiding citizens are disarmed and vulnerable to the whims of the criminals.

spent all day yesterday photographing the Noveske Three Gun team. Good people. By my rough estimate we had made 80 grand worth of guns in the studio. and yes a fondled them all.

I meant legally, ldo, i thought you all obviosuly talk about legal uses of a gun. I have lived there more than half my life, and have been law abiding , and have rarely been subject to the whims of the criminals, def nothing worth shooting someone over.

i wonder if the families of shooting victims find it to be a great consolation when the police tell them that it was illegal for the shooter to have that gun.

I am sure they feel the same as the family of a shooting victim who go shot by someone who was legally carrying , say a George Zimmerman or so.
04-08-2012 , 11:33 AM

So i know you wont bet any amount of money that you can carry a gun out here , but is it legal? Well , that is partly he reason I think we have differing opinions. Different upbringing. What age did you all mostly get introduced to guns? did your father start you off? used for hunting ? grew up in rural areas? i tink that has a lot in determining a person's sentiments for guns.
