Looks like it could be a fun plinking gun.
I saw one of these while at a Gander Mountain recently. Looked pretty cool and had some nice heft to it. Thought about doing the HK slap but then thought better of it.

edit- the GSG-5 has it's own forum at ar15.com!

Lol. Yeah, it seems like it would be a really fun gun to have. Cheap to shoot, and looks and feels badass.

Of course if I could afford one, I'd get the real deal because the MP5 is such a sweet gun.

What will it primarily be used for?

BTW, When I think lever action, I think Winchester.

What caliber?

Can't really go wrong with a Winchester model 94 imo. That is, if you like a .30-30.

Boro,

why are you considering a lever action as opposed to a bolt action or semiauto?

Probably hunting dirt worshipers on the open plains of Montana with Wesker

Safer than a semiauto, quicker than a bolt action, imo.

Yes, I'm leaning towards a .30-30.

They look like fun.

Our 30-30 is a lever Winchester. Marlin also makes good ones, I hear. I like what this guy did with a Marlin 336.

Mare's legs look cool too.

Pretty much exterminated all of them already.

My dad has a lever action 30-30, pretty sweet gun imo.

Just made an offer for a Romanian WASR 10 AK47 with four mags, and 700 rounds of ammo and a hard case, for $500. We'll see!
10-16-2009 , 04:13 AM
Thats a good deal imo, GL.
10-16-2009 , 11:26 AM
Hmm, another one, $475 for the WASR, eight 30 round mags, one 5 round mag, and a cleaning kit.

This is about as fair a trade as one can do, whereas with the other one I'll save like $70, so, hopefully the other one goes through.

Yeah, lever action rifles are fun. The first gun I ever shot was a Winchester Model 1894 chambered in .22LR. I recall enjoying shooting it.

Dude, how much does 700 rounds cost in this market?
10-16-2009 , 11:16 PM
about $150
10-17-2009 , 01:48 AM
the AK is so sexy I can't wait until I get one

The sign says: My next-door neighbor wants to ban all guns. Their house is not armed. Out of respect for their opinion, I promise not to use MY GUNS to protect them.
10-18-2009 , 07:03 PM
Wait, an AK mag holds 100 rounds? WTF?
10-18-2009 , 07:06 PM
Maybe some drum mags hold around there (90ish?). The ones I've pictured hold 30.
