wife has a lumpectomoy tomorrow. 95% chance it's nothing, but still sweating a 2 outer on the river.

There are onions in that burger.
04-30-2013 , 11:19 PM
Is that a lumpectomy reference?

Yeah, it's tasteless. I couldn't resist.

GL Mrs. Ikes. For serious.

Every park in the US needs these signs:

sign on the wrong side of the fence.

parents are in general really tolerable in this league

this is the second over-caffeinated coach we've played against so far. The first got tossed from the game which was incredibly satisfying.

protip: don't kick a bat in the general direction of the ump after you've already been warned for mouthing off

Around here most of the rec sport bs we answer calls for is caused by the parents.

We've dealt with some BS from coaches before but we have a really good parks and rec director who's replaced more than one coach for the kind of crap you're talking about.

Coaches getting ejected for going after an ump is pretty much unacceptable until you hit 12&Under then totally routine.
05-01-2013 , 12:16 AM
yeah this guy clearly gunning for the lucrative local jr. high job
05-01-2013 , 12:21 AM
Strategically, a coach getting themselves ejected can motivate your team when they're discouraged.

It's cathartic for the team to watch and can really rally the team.

It's not recommended if your assistant coach is a moron however. It's also not appropriate with small kids.

I coach my daughter's fastpitch softball and I do it. I'm 0-4 against umpires who are also employees of the Sheriff's office.

I think they actually get off on tossing me.

They tried a local zombie game in Iowa City a few years ago, like downtown on the college campus, and it got stopped when someone running from a 'zombie' got hit by a car.
