There are two different products that use the gold wax (both of which have been discontinued for years). One is the legendary single barrel 101 proof limited edition. This is what's known as a VIP bottle, which is just bog-standard 90 proof makers that was made for whatever the predecessor of the current Ambassador program was.

Also there was apparently a gold wax bottle sold in Japan in the 80s but this is not that (obv).

Every time there's a severe weather outbreak, I glue myself to the weather channel. I know it's no better than watching soap operas, but I can't help myself gdi.

But I've noticed that every time they send a couple of named reporters out, like Mike Seidel or Stephanie Abrams, or Jim Cantore. They usually report from areas....really close to bad weather, but not -quite- in the worst of it.

I have to assume that the WC also has a bunch of unnamed reporters wearing red shirts that beam down into the actual bad areas and are never heard from again. I'm prettay sure that one of these guys got sucked into the sky in mobile today, but we'll never know it.
