crushed a sushi feast of feasts last night and many, many, many shots of sake were taken

i like sake but am no expert, if anyone is feel free to share their favorite cheap, mid-level or expensive sake recs

i prefer cold to hot and have no preference for filtered or not

The only thing I know about sake is I'm never brewing it. Seems aggravating as hell.

Been drinking well tonight, btw. Started with a Columbia Crest cab, which is cheap, but really solid for the price. For dinner, my dad cracked open an 06 Walla Walla cab (not sure of the winery) that he'd been saving. Great wine. And then he followed that with a red blend that was even better. Now, I'm sipping on 10 yo port. Life is pretty good, other than the fact that fmy fiancee just got on her plane to go back to the east coast, leaving myself cold and lonely until she comes out for valentine's day, which we'll spend ballin' out of control in Napa.

From now on, I grill with nothing but pecan wood. It's free, and it tastes great, and it's less filling. My 5 year old helped me gather some up, and he said, "Daddy, are we eating this?"
