Re: Political cartoon thread

Ramirez is one of my favorite political cartoonists. Always simple and clear with a strong message. The more words needed in a political cartoon, the worse it is IMO.

Not a surprise that although I agree with the Anarchy In Your Head message, they are just plain awful (2nd one isn't as bad).

Re: Political cartoon thread

This has more to do with the political cartoonists that do work for failing newspapers, but its still a pretty funny take on the general style of political cartoonists

That's the way you judge this? By way of what other heads of state say?

No, but it's still an obvious logical fallacy on its face.

"All communist heads of state are calling for the Honduran guy back. Obama is calling for the Honduran guy back. Therefore Obama is a communist." That's the argument in the cartoon, and it's a flagrant fallacy. You know, I heard the commie leaders all took a **** today, and so did Obama. Therefore, Obama must be a communist.

Hugo Chavez Jokes With GM Nationalized, 'Comrade Obama' Makes Castro Look Conservative

"Hey, Obama has just nationalized nothing more and nothing less than General Motors. Comrade Obama! Fidel, careful or we are going to end up to his right," Chavez joked on a live television broadcast.

Haha government motors, capitalism in action.

The hammer and the sickle represent the vilification of capitalists. You don't think Obama is part of that creed? Don't these state rulers have a common reason for wanting Zelaya to be treated in a certain way?

If you want to call Obama a commie, fine. That doesn't mean that cartoon is not retarded.

The first is pretty good. The second two have too many words. Of course, putting Palin in anything makes it funny.
