Absurd. Projected to have the 3rd highest score this week but of course am against the guy who will have the 2nd highest.

Basically I need Big Rape to break his neck and for KC's D to score at least one D/ST TD to win. As Donald Trump said many times, "Not gonna happen. Believe me."

lol, my FFB trolling game is strong this year.
10-02-2016 , 11:17 PM
Okay, time to sleep. If Maclin gets a bunch of garbage time points I'm gonna kick a helpless elderly person tomorrow.
10-02-2016 , 11:19 PM
Maybe I should have accepted Omar's trade for Hopkins.
10-02-2016 , 11:41 PM
Putting the fan in fantasy: hoping for a garbage time field goal instead of a touchdown!

All of us 0 and 4ers are going to get together and create one superteam. PM me for details.

Spoiler:
Don't PM me.

David Johnson's 32 pts last night is why I had Yahoo's algorithms auto-draft him.

Just so everybody knows, 0-4 means I'm the spoiler now. the joker. the wildcard. I'm knocking some mother****ers out of contention. This is when the fun begins. I mean, not this week, because this guy ain't winning either. But later....

Sounds like you're ready for an Omar trade.
10-10-2016 , 11:09 AM
Sweating stat corrections is terrifying. Up by less than a point. (Set your lineup Trolly)
10-10-2016 , 05:20 PM
Delanie Walker and Greg Olson both on the trading block.
10-10-2016 , 10:32 PM
Lol, I almost thought I had a chance here.
10-14-2016 , 10:11 AM
Brutal. One year I picked like 6 Falcons players back to back. That year was WAAAAY better than this one.
10-16-2016 , 04:10 PM
I don't like today. I don't like Detroit RBs.
10-16-2016 , 11:02 PM
So I'm thinking of taking up knitting.

Did you mother****ers go to some kinda fantasy football camp over the summer? Something is up.

Minor but I do think fantasy football information is trending towards optimized. At least for amateurs. I assume on there's some avant garde analysis for DFS players where people are building super slick algorithms and there's probably a lot of edge still be gained there.

But for the 'standard' season long leagues with your buddies/office for 'casual' people, like $500 or less -- I honestly think there's decreasing edge year to year for sharper players. I've been playing ffb since the late 1990s when everyone was terrible and it was super easy money. If you even looked at injury reports, you were better than half your league. If you knew about how teams used roles and who was going to get touches game to game and capable of understanding game scripts and which offenses were potent versus ****ty, you were better than 80% of your league.

Now in your typical league, everyone is subscribed to footballguys or 4for4 or whatever else and there's basically no edge anymore imo. Or even just scanning twitter. FFB information/industry has exploded and there's tons of free, good information out there for anyone willing to invest a few hours that help with waiver pick ups, trade values, lineup decisions, etc. Just a crapshoot now. Which is fine. I think it's probably better for the semi-serious fan to trend to randomized.

I think I either need to join more leagues for more money, or quit playing entirely. I'm not subscribed to anything, I just try to find the best free resources and do what I can. Admittedly, that should be enough to not do terribly, but.....well..........

No money in Politics FFB, everyone's solid.
10-17-2016 , 04:53 PM
Agree with DVaut. Everybody's solid especially in a cash league. Get a couple of dolts in the free leagues who just want to draft their favorite team or some BS like that but they're rarities.

The key is to win on trades and stay sharp on the WW during the season. Leagues are never won on draft day.

That said, there's still room for winning in auction leagues. People never get the bidding right and burn through their budget super-fast.

Football has always been pretty random given the 16-game schedule and injuries. I remember getting an edge from doing research back in the day, but it never helped me dominate like I was able to do in some long-term baseball and basketball leagues. I feel like with football getting too deep almost hurts you; go for solid, reliable players in the draft and be aggressive on the WW - very few people were on guys like Will Fuller or Jordan Howard this year before the season started, heck even Matt Ryan was a huge bargain, whereas lots of these preseason darlings seem to have fallen off (Derrick Henry, Tyler Lockett, Tyler Boyd, off the top of my head).

I'd like to be in next year

Some huge underachievers so far this season. Took until last game for Lamar Miller to get on the TD board.
