Evidence of being a hater: assuming as a default that illegal immigrants negatively affect AMERICANS despite having just been shown evidence that deportation can negatively affect AMERICANS

This is very similar to reforms proposed by Marco Rubio. If Obama had worked with Rubio they probably could have formulated a bill acceptable to both parties with neither winning political capital.

Have you been to Mexico? Do you want the U.S. to be more or less like Mexico? And I'm not talking about tourist destinations.

This, I don't know why people have such a hard time understanding this concept.

Immigrants risking their lives for America in war zones deserve to be fast tracked to U.S. citizenship.

Rubio isn't at the point where he could associate himself with Obama without committing political suicide.

Tea Party would never willingly let anything with Obama's name on it stand.

Keeping immigrants, albeit illegal ones, here who have been educated in our system and know no other home is not damaging to the US.

The Obama campaign doesn't want bipartisan support for an immigration bill. They want Obama to get all the credit.
if not a level then the worst form of partisan blinders in a while. Rubio is a junior senator, who has more skeletons in his closet than Obama did. His seat may not even be safe too.

As for the book deal, look for it to be a Palin style release, by the numbers a best seller, but the copies will be warehoused and given as teaser gifts for subscriptions to mags and newsletters. The GOP ptb aren't into young-uns wanting a seat at the table. If the Kochs are able to realign the party and gain control of it (it is conceivable), he isn't their choice of leader either.

Hahahaah. Guess what... Those illegal immigrants want the US to be less like Mexico too. That's why they come here in the first place.

That must be why Mexicans are traditionally so quick to abandon Spanish and learn English.

Rewarding criminal behavior likely has no future repercussions. You're right.

Mexican immigrants, even illegal ones, tend to integrate about as fast as immigrants have historically. E.g., Chinese immigrants didn't speak fluent english in the first generation, either. The third generation was totally integrated.

Yeah, we might get...more immigrants working hard, paying taxes, and contributing to the economy? Sounds good to me.
