This. There is no need or reason to separate things into black benefits, hispanic benefit, Indian benfits, etc. Doing so treats different races of people differently and gives some certain privileges others do not get, and this is racist.

"Treating different races of people differently" is not the definition of racism, and you need to look it up. Should this office exist? I don't know. There are plenty of organizations and government grants targeted towards helping poor people with their education, and for whatever reason, the black (and to some degree hispanic) communities are missing out on this by a huge % more than whites. If this office tries to fix this problem (which I don't think it will because I think it boils down to gang violence) then I do not see how this could possibly be a bad thing.

But no, you took what could be an interesting discussion on what the government should or shouldn't do and turned it into a ridiculous argument on what constitutes racism. Good job.

Poor black people prob have different barriers to education than poor white people etc. Programs focused on educating the poor would naturally be geared towards helping poor white people just due to demographics. You could pretend you aren't doing that and target it towards areas where poor black people live.....but that just seems like appeasing morons.
