Not really, but he could affect things like the party platform and conceivably block the choice for vice president. He will likely get a speaking role at the convention. My guess would be he will leverage his support to help Rand in some manner.

MSNBC just gave the most fair discussion on Ron Paul, I've ever seen.

Yes, he could hand Obama the victory. Don't think he will.

Re: New Hampshire Primary Sweat Thread

If you're talking about him running third party, I doubt he would do it. It would be counterproductive for his son picking up the mantle in 2016. What he will do is gather as many delegates as he can to exert as much influence as possible at the convention, and create as much leverage as possible to move the conversation regarding the status quo toward his ideas. Ron Paul for the long haul, imo.

Simultaneously destroying his son's chances of running in 2016.

Re: New Hampshire Primary Sweat Thread

Is there any chance a) Romney offers the VP to Paul to keep him from running as 3rd party/lock up his supporters and b) Paul would accept and run with Romney?

Re: New Hampshire Primary Sweat Thread

What would it take for the US to change its dual mandate for the Fed and have its focus solely on targeting inflation? If the target is 2 percent wouldn't that be a significant step towards "Hard Money?" I wonder if this is something the R's could put in their platform as a concession to Ron and possibly have him support Romney.
