Re: Nevada Caucus Sweat/Trip Report thread

Gingrich has to make it to convention, otherwise the media will have no choice but to give Paul some press.

he doesn't have much to gain from an independent run. Think he doesn't get much attention running within the machinery of the GOP nomination process? He knows he will get even less outside this.

He won't run indi but he should. Everyone else is the same, and Obama is probably the best of the rest.

Republican party is falling apart and is going to turn into something new. It has to. Ron Paul running independent would only speed up that process and make things better sooner rather than later, even if Republicans lose 2012 (which they are almost guaranteed to lose anyway, as Ron Paul is the only chance).

I commend your inclusion of a fudge factor, but, come now, it is far too large. Something on the order of 99.99999999999% seems more accurate.

Did RP hang around till the bitter end in 08? Newt has nothing else to accomplish, nothing else to pull him away from this campaign. He can call a presser, and atleast the media will show, if he draws ten people it is of no concern to him. There is a book signing in every city on a moments notice.

The full Clark County results have not been finalized. We have to wait some more.

Good point. I just don't see him staying at Motel 6's and riding around in SUV's to campaign stops.

Huh, maybe your assertion will have some merit if they have significant losses in Congress this go around but to say the GOP is falling apart is silly. There are currently 29 Republican Governor's and the GOP controls more state house's than the Dem's.

Re: Nevada Caucus Sweat/Trip Report thread

@RalstonFlash Jon Ralston
State staffers were dispatched to help county (that didn't help), Paul folks swarmed office at 3 AM, campaign attorneys involved. #nvcaucus

@RalstonFlash Jon Ralston
Paul up by 300 votes over Newt in Clark with just under 10K counted. Paul would need to extend lead to 1K. Possible, but not easy. #nvcaucus
