America is one of the last places on earth I would like to move to. Give me France, Germany, Netherlands, UK, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, New Zealand etc any day.

No country is perfect, including America. Everyone makes their own choice for their own reasons, that's why just as many people choose other countries to move to. Hell, we have tens of thousands moving here to the UK every year, and we're just a tiny smear in the North Sea.

Not even close. Who else had world-wide influence even close to the US right now? Largest empire was Britain, largest land empire was the Mongols, the Romans kicked butt for a long time, but I'd argue those empire didn't touch every part of the planet (Britain was close).

Granted, just from technology the world is a very different place than it was just 50 years ago, much less 500.

What continent on earth does the US not have vast influence on right now? (That the US actually wants to be part of). Just think of the influence in the middle east - and we're on the opposite side of the planet.

It might come as a shock to you, but the world isnt black and white. The us is leading in some health care procedures, other countries in others. Same goes for other technologies. Rich saudis go to german hospitals too, as do americans.

And seriously, who never won the (real) football worldcup can't consider themselves an important country.

The US also has 3 in the top 10 cities in the world, NY, LA, Chicago. While London is itself a great city, I'd argue the US gets much more in talent than Britain.

Absolutely this. The primary problem with this thread is people are conflating "greatest" with "best place to live" or "most pleasant" or whatever. Incorrect. That's like saying the Padres are the greatest baseball franchise because you can get Green Flash IPA at the stadium. Bull****, the Yankees are the greatest team in baseball because they kick ass, in and out, decade after decade and everyone knows it. And that's why folks call the the US the greatest country in a way you don't see directed elsewhere (save maybe LOLChina).

That's not to say that life in Denmark or Norway or Andorra isn't just Jim-dandy wonderful. I'm sure it is. And I'm sure the people there are just great, friendly, salt and the earth sorts and all that. But that doesn't change the fact that the US eats countries like that for breakfast.

generally i agree cuz obv we are number one at being fat but girls in the U.K. are pretty disgusting on average frankly and in everywhere in Europe their teeth are noticeably worse than people in the states

I disagree about the teeth. Theeth might not be bleached to the same extend, but that's about it.

I deal with customers from all over the world face to face and women from Eastern Europe are the best looking in the world. American women aren't special. American TV shows chose really good looking American girls to represent them, but the average American girl are no better looking than western European girls.
