He self banned himself and then made a new account, I think. The account in question was deleted. Not sure if circumventing a self ban gets you in trouble though. Unless he wasn't really self banned and it was in lieu of a real ban.

I really don't think that was LirvA, unless I'm confusing it with another recently banned new account.

The fact that it was banned and deleted makes it more likely that it wasn't him. Probably the same guy that comes back every other week for 40 or so posts, whoever that is.

In the 3 precincts near my house there have been 4 homicides in the last 5 years.

So there's certainly a need for a gun then.

there's always need for a gun. federal agents may wish to take your gun away, in which case you need your gun for protection.

For all of the "gun owners are internet tough guys and wouldn't really shoot cops coming to get their guns" people, guess what, you're not really going to take their guns anyway because the gun-taker-away people are a bunch of pussies too.

I'm just getting caught up with this forum after a lovely weekend with my wife, but is what we have here a few of the usual suspects going hard to the paint trying to rally the village to arms over an obvious fabrication?

If only there were some lupine based fable to discourage this sort of behaviour.

This is what drones should be used for.

In a criminal complaint, Smith said he was in the basement of his home when he heard a window breaking and footsteps. Fearful of other recent break-ins, he shot Schaeffel when he came into view.
When the teenager tumbled down the stars, Smith shot him in the face as he lay on the floor, looking up.
'I want him dead,' the complaint quoted Smith as telling an investigator.
He dragged the body into his workshop and then sat in the chair, the complaint said. When Kifer began walking down the stairs, he shot her and she fell down the stairs.
He tried to shoot her again with his rifle, but the gun jammed and Kifer laughed at him, the complaint noted.
'If you're trying to shoot somebody and they laugh at you, you go again,' Smith, 64, told investigators, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.
He then shot her several times in the chest with a .22-caliber revolver, dragged her next to her cousin, and with as she gasped for air, fired a shot under her chin 'up into the cranium'.
'Smith described it as "a good clean finishing shot",' according to the compliant, and acknowledged he had fired 'more shots than (he) needed to'.
Story is so odd. Why would you go down the stairs after the other person was just shot? Sounds like some time had maybe gone by so maybe she went upstairs and him down and she didn't hear it? Still, that seems odd. Maybe she just heard him falling down the stairs and went to check on him?

This is probably the best quote of the article:

Quote:
'Yes, she had an addiction problem and stuff, but that doesn't mean she deserves to get murdered at 18 years old,' Shaeffel said. 'I understand they came there to rob them, or whatever, but shoot them in the shoulder and call the cops.'

I hope I have the ability to laugh if I'm ever in the situation where I get shot and the person that shot me unnecessarily attempts to shoot me again after I'm clearly no longer a threat, but his gun jams.

I wonder if any of the usual suspects will scour twitter and FB to find menacing pictures of those kids in order to paint an "accurate" picture of who they "really are."

Well meth is a hell of a drug IMO.

I think, even though what he did was against the law, who these "kids" really are is best summed up as "Felonious Home Invaders".

My guess is she was high as hell to be able to laugh at anything in that situation. High as hell probably explains her traipsing down the stairs where her cousin was shot too. The rifle grumpy old man used was a Mini 14, shooting the same ammo our troops use. If she heard her cousin falling down the stairs she certainly heard the gun shots too.

Am I wrong in thinking 'Home Invaders' is a special term reserved for people acting violently towards the occupant(s) like rape/murder/assault/etc?

Any break-in where the owners are home is considered a home invasion.

Anyone want to take bets as to who the talking heads at Fox go to bat for in the event this story gets national press?
