Stairs? Kids? Bigger Problem Than We Think! Stairs? Kids? Bigger Problem Than We Think!

With all the talk about drug, guns and other regulation are we not forgetting about the kids?

Stop the madness, we need to regulate stairs or outright ban them.

Get rid of stairs and replace them with chutes and ladders. Kids know how to do that.

Luckily, trailers are only one floor, even the double wides.

We just need to let parents beat their kids. That way they don't have to pull the old "they fell down the stairs" routine.

The state already does regulate stairs. It's pretty strict too, perhaps they could be better in your opinion?

I'm actually rooting for the stairs in this scenario. Damn kids have had it way too easy for way too long.

You wanna talk back son? Let's see how well you can slinkee, biatch.

Stair regulations are awesome.

Seriously, those are good regulations.

Those are outdated regulations to prevent falling up the stairs when you are elderly or droonk.... think of the CHILDREN!!!!! Stairs should rise only 2 inches and each stair should have a tread depth of 3 feet.... any downward falls would be like rolling down a hill.

Of course most staircases would not fit in a home, and would take 5 minutes to climb.... but it would have good intentions and that's all that matters.

Midget-bowling kids down stairs gotta be kept on the down low now.

I have already proposed a superior solution.

With no stairs, it's still socially acceptable.

I'm too biased towards a ban.
I live in a 2nd floor apt., no elevator, humping groceries or my bike upstairs sux.

We're banning stairs from houses here, not apartment buildings. Kids are simply to be banned from apartment buildings.
03-13-2012 , 05:06 AM
We need to ban stovetops as well.

And yet, kids are still falling down them. We don't need these crony regulations written by the Big Stair lobby. We need REAL regulations that PROTECT THE KIDS.

The article doesn't advocate further regulations on stairs. It just points out some dangers and suggests voluntary solutions to them. The free market is going to work great!

Testing the safety level of stairs. These passed.

(I'm not sure if this link will work or not.)

I don't have a problem with stairs. But whoever came up with stairs that move is worse than Hitler.
