The context of the joke was a clip of Trump telling Face the Nation's host that he called the show "Deface the Nation" and CBS is "fake news." It was a joke about Trump being full of ****, and subservient to Putin. Instead of saying Trump's mouth is only good as Putin's cock-holster, he could have said only good for kissing Putin's ass, the same purpose without homophobic accusations, but the cock-holster joke is funnier because of the unexpected imagery not because it's inherently homophobic

We should all put on our next-level thinking caps then and agree the real damage here is the concern trolling, which is deployed for just this very thing, to cause this sort of irritation and disarray and erode norms.
