After reading through this thread nobody really has strong ideas on what to do except just pass off Iran's threats as hot air, not to be taken seriously. Also if the USA would just get its act together about its Middle East foreign policy things would improve a lot. Did the USA have its act together when Obama was POTUS?

What do you call someone who intentionally minimizes the victims of the holocaust?

I ask because the nazis on stormfront damn sure got the message the trump admin was sending and I'm curious how you missed it.

I call it anti-semitism, because it is clearly that. If you want to try and dog whistle it up to holocaust denial go ahead, but it plays into the hands of the anti-SJW audience calling out libs for over reacting.
03-23-2017 , 02:02 PM
You got a weird definition of Holocaust denial, bro.

Agree. And I'm all about attacking Ann Coulter but like you say, keep it about substance.

Why? If I'm remembering correctly in that letter they claimed "everyone was affected" by the holocaust and didn't want to just call out Jewish people for it. They didn't claim less Jews were killed did they? The didn't claim it didn't happen or was over reported or anything else. Equating that letter, written by a handful of people in the White House to being the stance of our entire government seems to be giving Trump and Bannon more influence than they have and to be painting a lot of people with motives they don't deserve.

It's equivalent to saying the DOJ is pro-black genocide because Sessions hasn't been fired. It sounds stupid because it is stupid.

Why die on this hill Kerowo? Pride's a funny thing.

Iran has the first or second highest populations of Jews among Muslim majority countries (them or Azerbaijan), so "waiting to fire up the ovens again" is your lazy dumb rhetoric and looking stupid.

The moral equating of the Trump admin, full of white supremacists and Hungarian Nazis, with holocaust deniers is totally appropriate.

Whether or not they are actually deniers is also up for debate.

Call me crazy, but I consider "Holocaust denial" to be denying or diminishing the Holocaust, and that committing or promoting genocide, I tend to call those committing or promoting genocide.

If you want to argue this line with Trump, who thinks Jews are the money counters, or maybe even Bannon who thinks globalism/(((international banking))) is a conspiracy to dilute native purity I guess you can try. But there's no arguing the guy with the Hungarian Nazi uniform at the inauguration.

Not following the current jew/not jew conversation, but found this interesting.

Suspect Arrested In Connection With Jewish Community Bomb Threats

"The suspect, a 19-year-old U.S.-Israeli citizen who currently lives in Israel, was apprehended Thursday, Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told The Huffington Post. He said a motive is not yet known and that the FBI helped Israeli police with the investigation.
....
The suspect’s lawyer, Galit Bash, told reporters in Israel that her client had a “very serious medical condition” that precluded him from Israel’s required military service ― and that he didn’t go to elementary or high school, according to The Associated Press. He was reportedly home-schooled for a period in the U.S. His condition, which local news called a brain tumor, may have affected his behavior, Bash said."

Well that's something I didn't want to know

Rick Perry Calls Texas A&M Student Election a ‘Mockery’

Rick Perry, the former Texas governor and current United States energy secretary, says the recent presidential election was stolen.

It isn’t the legitimacy of his boss, President Trump, that Mr. Perry is calling into question. No, he has reservations about last month’s election for student body president at his alma mater, Texas A&M University.

In a piece published by The Houston Chronicle on Wednesday, Mr. Perry took the remarkable step of weighing in on the most local of politics. In it, he argues in great detail that the election of the school’s first openly gay student body president was mishandled and that the true winner was denied victory, an outcome that never would have been allowed were he not a straight, white male."

Good to see Perry is getting up to speed on US nuclear weapons systems.

It started because adios posted about Iran being terrible, citing their attitude toward Jews as an example, and Noodle responded, meh, Iran, America what's the difference?

You mean the same guy who in an interview on Fox yesterday said Nazis were evil.

Nah, surely not. Must have been someone else.

Perry would be funny if not so tragic and sad that neither he nor Trump even had any idea what the Dept. of Energy did. And this too...Trumpkins.
