Thanks for the emoji tips, but a sad dodge of the point.

Clearly you're still missing mine. If you're genuinely looking to improve your posting as you appeared to be earlier this afternoon, then I'm sorry that I can't find a way to get through to you, because you seem like someone who could actually make a positive impact on this forum if you were capable of not being such a gigantic dick to everyone. Best of luck.

The Wiemar government consisted of a bunch of bourgeois neoliberals, but 1934 was a bad year for "what about Wiemar?"

Guy makes extreme post and bases it on an asserted fact (that hasn't happened, but even for the sake one can consider that it did).

Dan asks his feelings on a subject that centers on the basis for his extremist view in order to either get him square his logic on principles in order to understand how he can maintain that view, or maybe result in some introspection that maybe such extreme views are not sound.

Goofy calls Dan a gigantic dick and a poor user of emojis.

Got it thanks.

The kid's no Marion Kelly but he's got what it takes to move to the top of the Sklansky rankings.

Flattery may be correct to winning an election, but flattery is exactly what's wrong with society.

Those Hostess pies are pretty dope imo.

Person tried to grab gun from soldier at O'rly Airport.

Brown person = terrorist
White person = disgruntled flyer

Correction: Man succeeded at grabbing gun for soldier then was shot dead

But if you want to fix what's wrong with society via political avenues, you have to win an election. This is why politicians are always full of ****, people refuse to vote for someone that articulates difficult truths or talks about the need to make compromises. So even competent leaders need to go around and say "we know exactly what's wrong and exactly how to fix it and there's no risk of failure" because that's what voters demand.

Oh, Jesus Christ. Go post this smarmy bull**** on 4chan where it belongs.

You ever been to 4chan? This is what you think goes there? Really closer to Pinterest.

Kim Deal with ripped mom jeans and tucked in t-shirt after a 90 min show just exemplifies how weird the Pixies could be. She was a secretary and used to play gigs in her work clothes after getting off. It's like the opposite of every leather-clad wannabe, and even non-wannabes. I mean even bands like the Velvet Underground looked cool as hell, but there's something to be said for being the epitome of normcore and rocking out like a banshee. That 1991 Brixton gig would be on the agenda if I had a time machine.

Been touring the youtubes and Ian Curtis of Joy Division would also often look disquietingly normal, with a long sleeved tucked-in shirt. For all we know he's wearing loafers in this vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dBt3mJtgJc

I know that you know that I know how futile discussing this is. In 10 years, I've noticed conversations tend to follow a pattern, a route that can be predicted without even having to have the conversation. Really a great time saver. To answer your question, the republican list would be way ****tier than the democrat list. Never meant to imply any differently.

I like you. I think you have a good handle on things, with one exception being that I think you're a little dramatic about how apocalyptic Trump is likely to be. (Maybe I'm wrong) If I were to discuss any of this, It'd probably be with you, because you tend to be pretty level-headed.

With that said, I'm not much of a gardener. Several years ago my wife and I tried to redo a flower bed, so we went to the nursery and bought a bunch of plants off the on sale rack. We planted them, fertilized them....really had them looking nice. My mother in law rides up shortly after and informs us that we'd just planted house plants in the flower bed.

I think ineedaride2 is my favorite Trump voter.

Yes let's not forget in all of this. INAR2 is the kind of brainless, lifeless, careless scum of modern American life that votes TRUMP and then goes "Can't we all just get along! Everybody is so nasty!" The lack of self-awareness is utterly mind-bottling.

Well put. That and ripping into a bunch of Spanish just for the **** of it. Kinda like how Oasis used to get up there in track suits and or mom jeans & Izod shirts and just rock people's faces off.

I've got a bootleg of them from Zurich, which we think might be the Tin Machine tour. Best live album I've ever heard. Also since it was my introduction to a lot of their songs - I like the live version better than the studio version.

Placebo does a cover of Where is My Mind that feels like an exact tribute to the version the Pixies closed with on that bootleg I have.

Here's why we can't all get along, ****ing *******:

https://thinkprogress.org/trumpcare-...825#.3tlq119p9

Approximately 17,000 people could die in 2018 who otherwise would have lived if a House Republican health proposal endorsed by the Trump administration becomes law. By 2026, the number of people killed by Trumpcare could grow to approximately 29,000 in that year alone.

Determining the exact number of deaths that could occur each year due to a lack of access to insurance is not an exact science. But ThinkProgress calculated these estimates by examining two sources.

The first is a Congressional Budget Office report released Monday afternoon that details the impact of the House Republican health bill. It estimates that “in 2018, 14 million more people would be uninsured under the legislation than under current law,” and projects this number will rise to “24 million in 2026.”
The most overrated intellect in Washington

thinkprogress.org

The second source is a study examining the change in Massachusetts mortality rates after the state enacted health reforms similar to the Affordable Care Act. That study, which looked at adults aged 20 to 64, estimated that “for every 830 adults gaining insurance coverage there was one fewer death per year.”

Fourteen million divided by 830 equals 16,867 people potentially sentenced to die by Trumpcare. By 2026, if the CBO’s estimate is correct, that number could rise to 28,916 deaths in one year.

Other researchers have found slightly different estimates for deaths resulting from uninsurance. A Harvard study suggests that a little more than 23,000 people will die in 2026 if Trumpcare becomes law.

Nevertheless, the Massachusetts study was deemed sufficiently reliable by a long list of public health scholars and the American Public Health Association, who used the study’s 1 in 830 estimate in a brief to the Supreme Court of the United States arguing in favor of preserving major elements of Obamacare.

You can't elect Donald Trump and then go: let's just all work together.
Do you really think so though?

Ryan would have the same ****ty health care bill in committee.

Gorsuch or a Gorsuch clone would be the SCOTUS nominee.

Rubio would still have some sort of Muslim/terrorist EO.

Sure, Bannon wouldn't be around. And no tweets. But still the actual legislation would be similar.
