So why don't you just post what we're supposed to be talking about?

Yeah.

But wikileaks has a bunch of hacking tools from the CIA.

I don't think there would be wide spread agreement on this around here, but I'm not sure what that has to do with the price of tea.

Dan,

Are people supposed to be outraged or surprised about anything there? You are just waiting for people to be mad at wikileaks so you can react to that? Because no one could possibly be surprised that the CIA had a bunch of spy tools.

Dan can blast liberals for not posting about the things he wants them to post about, but liberals can't do the reverse because he has a Muslim friend?

lol

I am friends with an anti-spy advocate, so my credentials are ironclad.

I read and defend Glenn Greenwald on this site, pretty vile and absurd for me to be attacked like that.

Do you see me calling you a pedophile because you do not have enough posts harping about the mistreatment of children by sexual predators?

It is pretty appalling for all of the CIA's cyberweapons to get stolen though. Kind of the same as terrorists flying off with a bunch of fighter jets. NSA/CIA consciously hide the exploits they identify (rather than exposing them so they can be patched), so for those weapons to be stolen en masse is basically smoking gun evidence of inadequate security. It just should not be possible.

Furthermore, here's a smattering of your posts in a thread that's supposed to be about President Trump, see any pattern as to what you focus on? Cuz it sure isn't Trump's administration...

Damn those Bernie supporting liberals! They are responsible for democrats losing control of the the House, Senate, Presidency, and state legislations!!!!

GMAFB. "Look in the mirror!!" lol. However did the democrats get smashed with the staunch party defenders and great minds like Paul D? Hmmmmmmmmmmm no idea. Must be Jill Stein!

I mean, the Obama administration was spying on Angela Merkel's communications and the rest of her government.

And yeah, so it wasn't "ordered" by Obama, but he was well aware of it and the practice continued after he was aware as CIC. There is little difference.

Errybody gettin spied on, way of the world.

It also probably lends weight to the notion that for all the fretting about the purported dystopian data collecting authorities and prowess of the Deep State, it's likely much of it is overblown for now because as it seems unlikely people this incompetent are capable of harnessing what their tools might allow.

If you think you're killing someone can you be charged with attempted murder of something who cannot be killed?

Quote:
A hunt for the killer of two sleeping homeless men in Las Vegas led to an unusual attempted murder charge Tuesday and a legal debate about criminal intent, when a man was accused of trying to kill a mannequin used as a decoy near the downtown site where the men had died of head injuries.

The charge was lodged against 30-year-old Shane Allen Schindler at a hearing in which a justice of the peace ordered him to undergo a mental competency evaluation.

Clark County Public Defender Phil Kohn derided the charge of attempted murder as "a legal impossibility," saying someone can't kill an inanimate object.

But Nevada appellate law appears to support the charge. The state Supreme Court in 1976 rejected an argument asserting that "since it is legally impossible to commit the crime, it must also be legally impossible to attempt the crime."

Yes. The most common example is when an FBI informant gives a suspected terrorist a fake bomb to plant.

Very interesting. The guy who tried to kill the mannequin definitely should be removed from society imo.

The FBI tactic might seem the same to me if it didn't seem like they were primarily goading people into things which they never would have otherwise done.

HastenDan what does your "Muslim lawyer friend" think about you voting for Donald ****ing Trump? I would think that might throw a little wrinkle in the relationship.
03-08-2017 , 12:44 AM
Let's just say I'm pretty ****ing skeptical that a white supremacist poker player has a lot of Muslim professional class friends.

Like someone who was actually close personal friends with an immigration lawyer AND a Muslim immigrant from Iraq would've FLIPPED THEIR ****ING **** over the Muslim ban, both during the campaign and then when it was implemented. This is a guy who gets emotional over bitcoins and self driving cars.

Instead, Dan, uh, just wants to try to awkwardly peacock about how liberals aren't posting about Wikileaks thus far not real newsworthy Vault 7 leak.

Why would we Dan? That **** is strictly for your people, the Alex Jones crowd. You know, the people who made "liberal media" jokes?

Found a bit of supporting evidence for Tsao's racism idea

Quote:
Perception is key. As studied and defined by social scientists, "racial resentment" is not the same thing as traditional racism. The latter—used to justify both South African apartheid and American slavery and Jim Crow—is rooted in a belief that blacks are genetically inferior to whites. By contrast, the former is "not outright hatred, but negative views about blacks justified by a belief that other races don't share the values of my group," Nteta says. "It's like when [FOX News host] Bill O'Reilly said on his radio show that he went to dinner with [African-American television host and civil rights activist] Al Sharpton in Harlem and it was just like any other restaurant, with people being respectful and eating their food."
