I think I've come up with an analogy that should crystallize my position for everyone.

Some of you may not have grown up with the Godzilla movies - but after the first few - Godzilla actually became the good guy. He would defend Tokyo against some new monster. So for the purposes of this analogy let's say the Deep State/neocons/neoliberals is Godzilla, Tokyo is our Democracy - and Greenwald is a plucky local reporter who doesn't like the way Godzilla tramps around town and generally acts like he owns the place.

GG runs around nipping at Godzilla's heels, and they get into a few skirmishes, - with GG generally acting like an annoying gadfly - but ultimately raising awareness of some of Godzilla's shortcomings.

Now enter the Mud Monster - who wants to destroy Tokyo - as played by Trump/Bannon/Putin. Godzilla and the Mud Monster become engaged in an epic battle, it could go either way. The future of Tokyo is at stake - the dramatic music is playing.

And there's GG - still shooting his little laser gun at Godzilla's heels every time it swings close enough to him. Godzilla is like wtf dude - can this wait?

We've covered GG pretty damn well. Taso tried to lump Assange into the exact same boat and I pointed out that they are not in the same boat. GG may be guilty of omission of stuff some of us would like to see him tackle as an investigative journalist. Assange is clearly agenda-driven at this point, and clearly aligned with the Russians.
