Damage control.

why is that relevant? Suppose the RNC did undermine Trump, do you think Bernie's supporters will just say "oh well at least the RNC was doing it too."

The funniest part about this is :

1. it's incontrovertible proof about what a bunch of hacks the DNC is...

2. and the Democrat hacks in this thread are DEFENDING it by saying , "Duh of course it was a bag job for Hill."

Like, they're wearing their hack-dom as a badge of courage on their shoulder.

There was nothing "secret" about the DNC and Sanders campaign being hostile to each other, chyme. Some of us read newspapers for grownups.

really does throw a wrench into the whole "Bush did Harambe" narrative being pushed by the liberal media

Looks like Debbie Wasserman Schultz has been dropped off the speaker list for the convention, but maybe they'll let her gavel in and gavel out. The question is whether Bernie will be able to have her removed as DNC chair. They'll have to drop her if Bernie decides to suck it up and stand up for himself.

They'll be fighting over this all day behind closed doors. Bernie better watch his back.

They've also got to worry about what will come out in the next email dump, Assange is going to milk this one for sure.

Meanwhile Trump keeps tweeting about how it was rigged against Bernie. Trump will definitely pick up some of the Bernie kids.

There is a difference between what had previously been reported and seeing the actual emails where they plotted to rat **** Bernie. Seeing that they planned to discredit him as an athiest is disgusting as well. This isn't a huge deal but I think it will hurt hillary some because she desperately needs to consolidate the Berniebro segment of the left and this will make it harder to do that. It also gives concrete proof to the Bernie supporters that the system was rigged which they have been shouting about for literally the whole primary season. I agree there is nothing shocking about this but it is a bad look for Hillary because she already has a problem with honesty, corruption and ethics that people are aware of and this just adds gasoline to that fire.

Combine this with picking a very moderate VP and the far left has to feel very marginalized by Hillary.

Maybe we can ask the RNC to release all their emails and see if they did the same for trump.
They don't extend this type of purity to the votes they want to get though.

This seems to fly contrary to what everyone is saying in this thread, that the DNC can play favorites...just trying to figure out which is correct

Have not been 2+2 leveled for a long, long time.

Not sure what level.

Well, this took an interesting turn by the PR staff at Wikileaks. Maybe not the credibility builder you'd lead with imo
This is the biggest story to come out of this whole mess. Wikileaks is teaming up with anti-semities and white nationalists.

Planned to? Or talked about it?

You seem convinced that they're the same thing when they're clearly not.

I bonded the important part. Bernie isn't a democrat. I guess this is news?

Do you believe the DNC's conduct was acceptable or you trying to rationalize unacceptable behavior?
07-24-2016 , 11:56 AM
Clinton campaign is claiming Russia did this to help Trump with zero evidence of that. This is the foreign policy expertise we Bernie bros have all been dreading. In fact almost this exact thing happened in the show Veep except China was blamed for a hacked tweet, which didn't happen.

You keep saying he's not a Democrat like that means it's okay which is pathetic. Bernie and Hillary voted 98% the same while she was a senator. Bernie has voted and helped the Democrats throughout his entire career. Only thing he didn't do was campaign and raise money for the party.

That's just a quote from a reporter, like it's not cited to some bylaw or whatever. What makes you think the DNC isn't supposed to play favorites?

Political parties play favorites all the time. The RNC rewrote their bylaws to stop Ron Paul from trying to steal delegates in 2012, then openly resisted an attempt by Cruz #NeverTrump people to rewrite the rules like last week.

I think it's more likely that whoever has the keys to the Twitter account at Wikileaks(who I don't think is Assange, but I'm not sure) is personally a white nationalist.

If you want to split this hair, we're going to need to see some more emails. If they're just talking about it and there is at least one (preferably several) response that says those sorts of attacks are unacceptable, then I think your point has some merit. I don't know if there are any of those among the leaked messages.

It's more than a tad hypocritical to (rightly) go after Trump for his odious religious hatemongering and then consider doing a slightly different version of the same thing.

If the emails show that it was just one dude spitballing and there are a bunch of other responses telling that guy to GTFO, then I guess the problem is that specific individual, and there is nothing to see here. Anyone know if that's the case?

On the hand if there was real consideration that this tactic should be employed if Bernie was threatening enough, that's an entirely different story. I've got little problem with the DNC trying to rat**** Bernie, the problem is the method that has been revealed.
