Yeah I read it. The one on tesla is really good even though it is about as optimistic as you can get on their prospects (and EVs in general)

AI is all well and good until there is a rise of the machines and we try to escape to mars but they follow us, but I don't sweat the small stuff.

Either one, they are both probably connected. I made the mental mistake of thinking of them as absolutes but they're relative to the 1970's number. Without knowing the underlying base numbers the differences in gender income percentages doesn't matter much.

In any case, the big picture the graph is showing is the distribution among workers is part of the problem of the uncoupling of productivity with the median worker's compensation. Increasingly the gains from productivity increases are going to a smaller group of workers.

It would be cool if we could dissuade China from future attacks, crappy if we get into a tit for tat escalation. That is the judgement the administration needs to make. Seems like an odd thing to float to the NYT's.
