Heh, sorry for the late response, but:
It's mostly my fault but you're not understanding. Basically, imo Rice being a really big kid and having a realistic replica (i.e. 'man with a gun') makes the cops' actions
worse and more inexcusable, not the opposite.
I've tried to come up with a succinct way to explain this for the past 3 years but I'm not there yet. But one partial way to put it and add on to some stuff i've said before:
Cops shooting a tiny smiling kid with a neon water pistol would be a bizarre fluke or 'accident', a fantasyland thing, but Rice was no accident. The cops saw a black 'man' with a 'gun' and summarily executed him. Considering we have video that's not hyperbole. And it's way more disturbing imo. That he turned out to be a kid that just hit a growth spurt, with an airsoft replica, is just anti-icing on the anti-cake to further highlight the cops' ineptitude and the things fundamentally broken in our society with regards to race, freedom, gun control, the list could go on.
The anti-cherry on the bottom is that pro-freedom and pro-gun people are on the ****ing cops' side! We have a black 'man' with a 'gun' and he's summarily executed. Where's the ****ing freedom there?
p.s. The part about 'toy' is that an airsoft replica stretches the definition of 'toy' but... eh. They have those little orange neon indicators and i'm almost certain the cops tampered with evidence and removed it.
