At least be glad that he's not openly supporting the actual meaning like most of them

ffs she ****ed all of us over by being terrible at her job and losing to the biggest clown in the world. she deserves everything bad that will come from it (the rest of the world doesnt though).

How many of those "boundaries " and "stretched rules" were fake news from the Republicans?

many but far from all. other obama appointees didnt have trouble using government email because they generally felt they should follow the rules. so they didnt even have to give 10 different explanations of what happened.

and they didnt have someone like huma abedin employed at their government department, their family charity and some dodgy lobbying firm selling access to them, all at the same time.

nobody forced the clintons to turn themselves into an giant industry filled with slimy characters.

Hugh Hewitt is a moron and a fraud (a fraud to the extent he tries to present himself as not a moron). Ugh, I have to change the channel whenever they put on that unctuous promo with Greta on.

MSNBC must be run by democrats if they give right wingers three shows. I have no idea what the strategy is here. Are they really hoping to pick up the Romney demo?

"The*Transformers*movies is one of those great mysteries of franchise filmmaking. Now on its fifth installment, they have all been undeniable hits, having collected $3.7 billion worldwide (and much more coming, with*Transformers: The Last Knight*now in theaters).

But it's also a particularly divisive series, at least among*film*writers*and critics. Yet the money keeps pouring in from audiences. So who are the die-hards, who can't get enough of robots fighting robots?

To shine some light on this question, the team at*Ranker Insights*took a look at people who rank the*Transformers*movies as among their favorites, to see what else they liked.

The results?

Well ... people who like*Transformers*also consider*Man of Steel*the "best movie of all time," Owen Wilson our "greatest actor," and Milla Jovovich the "greatest actress."*

"Our data had much to say about*Transformers*fans, most notably that their taste preferences tended to skew towards what some might consider 'guilty pleasures,' " says Ravi Iyer, chief data scientist at Ranker.

Other findings from*Ranker*on what*Transformers*fans consider the pinnacle of pop culture:

Favorite movie:*Suicide Squad

Favorite TV show:*Supernatural

Favorite musician: 50 Cent and Linkin Park

Greatest film score:*Armageddon"

For ChrisV, NYT had an article today about women dealing with sexism on Australian campus

Quote:
Female students who have spoken out about sexual assault and harassment on Australian university campuses have returned to their dorm rooms to find them flooded with water.

Others came home to defaced dorm doors or mattresses that had been urinated on.

When Emily Jones, a third-year student, asked a group of men to stop encircling women during a barroom tradition — in which men drop their pants and sing when the Australian song “Eagle Rock” is played — she was ostracized by friends and condemned by the news media for joining the “fun police.”
Quote:
A January report by the advocacy group End Rape on Campus Australia found that universities had frequently failed to support victims of sexual assault and harassment. In some cases, the report said, they actively sought to cover up sexual assaults to avoid reputational damage.

And while the problem is global, each new scandal here — just this week, a young woman accused a Greens party member of date rape — has led to more women speaking out, as well as an angry response from what many Australians consider a core element of this country’s identity: its hypermasculine culture.

“It is standard, in fact, that when a student exposes sexism or misogyny in their own university they are almost always met with horrendous backlash and ostracism, including reprisals,” said Nina Funnell, a victims’ advocate and writer. “That’s incredibly common in Australia.”
Kinda sounds a lot like the USA, tbh, minus the part where guys stand in a circle and take their pants off to a song.

Yeah, I'd say it's pretty similar.

My guess is that kind of thing is more of a problem in universities like ANU and U Syd where there are big residential colleges. Living on campus is a lot less common in Straya, the University of Adelaide has a few colleges but the vast majority of students do not live in them. The more prestigious universities (like ANU) have more students coming from interstate. Seems like you end up with frat type cultures.

As for the assertion that Australia is a "hypermasculine society", meh. I'm not sure I like generalizing over an entire society like that. Look at the US, you have gun culture, "cucks", "snowflakes" etc, a ton of masculine posturing, but that's not so much the reality of day to day life in the liberal areas. Australia does have a culture of drinking a ton and getting very loose, I think that's more the issue than "masculinity".

Eagle Rock is a ****ing terrible song btw, so I urge you not to youtoob it.

Tacoma and Frontier keep you in the lower probability of a Trumpkin range. I roll in a Chevy Colorado, which I think just confuses everybody.

You're ****ed if you drive a ranger.
