So I guess it's true that you only post when the economic news is bad?

I mean, I have no idea why the economic news is bad. Blaming Europe, or anything, more than just random variance seems premature to me.

Why do you feel the need to add in the jab about when I post instead of just answering the question? So if we cannot blame anyone or anything for the poor numbers, can we give anyone or anything credit for numbers earlier in the year that were slightly better?

Re: June LC thread

Businesses hiring people? Obama wasn't doing much then, and he isn't doing much now that's any different. The celebration re: February's job numbers was more about Obama not having destroyed the country rather than having personally created those jobs (and of course, enjoying that more people have jobs).

U.S. confirmed just about as Creationist as it was 30 years ago:

The rest of the details in the crosstabs fall into place exactly where you'd expect: Being a Republican and attending religious service religiously are both highly correlated with being a Creationist, and education is highly inversely correlated.

This is just terrifying to me.

Seems like the real growth is in genuinely secular beliefs about the origins of humanity.

It is hard for people to all of a sudden stop believing what they have been fed since birth.... just like santa and the easter bunny, it is easy to accept for most until the parents actually break the news to them.

For others, it is a source of "feeling good" or whatever.... and I would guess for some, the thought of no heaven or afterlife scares the **** outta them and it is just easier to believe than face the fact that they might just turn to dust and leave no spirit behind.

That's probably because I have no interest in politics except for the economic policies. We have ****ty policies, hence negative posting.

Quite bizarre indeed
