So I went to a half price books in OKC yesterday. I normally go to the one in Edmond but I was in the city with my friend and we drove right by one so I had to stop in there. As I was buying my books I asked if their Edmond location hired hippies and they said they the company does. ... well, LirvA gonna LirvA right? So I say "well ... since I'm anonymous and I never come to this store, do you guys drug test?" One of the guys who looked like a smoker got quite the look on his face.

Oh yeah, they don't drug test, and I picked up an application.

Also apparently they get a good employee's discount, but wouldn't tell me how much. I think I'm gonna try to work there imo.

It's a pretty good discount. You pay about half price.

When you sell books to HPB they give you 1/2 of the half price of their selling price X 1/2. If you're lucky.

Less than two days until conservatives get indignant over something discovered called a Higgs Boson but more often called the "god particle" because that name causes more of a emotional reaction? And they are told by the science ignorant media that for some reason this is a political issue that needs to have opposing teams lined up? And everyone with an iota of knowledge why this is important just sighs, turn off the tv, and go back to blowing stuff up with fireworks?

They're more likely to rage that the government gave funding to a bunch of queers to operate a Large Hardon Collider.
